Los Cano is one of a string of 'chiringuitos' - beach restaurants - along the route from Cabopino to Marbella. They vary considerably in appearance from shack to high-class restaurant; so does the food and so does the prices.
Los Cano is fairly representative. It benefits from easy car parking - turn off the main coast road at El Rosario - and of course has the lapping waves on the back as a backdrop. It is enclosed during the colder weather, but opens up when it's warm.
The food is predominantly fish, not surprisingly. The restaurant promotes its paella, but in honesty I have had better paella elsewhere. It does fish in salt well. Service is efficient, if a little unsmiling. prices are average, about €30 a head depending on what you have and which wine.
