We traveled to Malaga to visit our daughter who was studying abroad. This hostal was recommended by a university staff member and was close to her Spanish home. What a gem!! The hostal is small, maybe 6 rooms, all brightly colored and exceptionally clean and airy. The location is minutes from the beach which you can see from some of the room windows/balconies and across the street from the bus stop which will get you anywhere you want to go in Malaga, including the airport, train or bus station. They served breakfast which was wonderful cafe con leche, fresh squeezed orange juice and tostada with several toppings. On weekends the restaurant is open and features great Spanish wine, creative, tasty, large salads and tender and flavorful meat and fish entrees all prepared to order by the chef, Maria, in a tiny but adequate kitchen.
The hostal is run by a hard working, extended family who became our friends and authentic guides to our Spanish experience. Although their English is limited, they aim to please and are helpful in every way.More
