We had such an amazing experience! We were a group of 25 who met to celebrate the wedding of my wife and I, we could not have had a better time in a better place. Enough room and privacy for those with kids and those without amongst the 3 interconnected houses. Beautifully restored, it's like a museum! It is remote and a bit hard to find at first but once you get there, settle down, enjoy the local prices and entertain at the Cortijo. The photos don't do it justice and whilst we were there in March with no swimming pool in operation as it's usually colder, we had days of 20+ degrees (lucky us!), great for hanging out in the courtyards, enjoying food and drinks. There are many things to do in the surrounding area. Blanca who met us at the beginning introduced us to the local stores so we knew exactly where to go for the best produce, the cheeses and Jamon, yum.. She provided a lot of information which was great to get started. The El Mirador restaurant at El Churro was another of her recommendations and it was perfect for a sunset drink, we were practically locals by the end! We did a day trip to Granada for skiing, some of our friends went to Ronda and Malaga which are all close enough. But you may just decide to walk in the property grounds which is also peaceful. There is Padel tennis and ping pong so lots to do for the more energetic. We along with our guests were really surprised by this place and living in different cities all over the world, it was the perfect escape and unwind from our hectic lives. Just ensure to respect the place, it is very beautiful and we hope to be back one day to celebrate a reunion with all our friends and family in Europe. Special thanks to Blanca and Ignacio.
