fairly new and very modern hotel at the train station in malaga. Practical if you want to stay away from the city noise and tourism. Gym for the ones who need that. Breakfast expensive and only average in quality.price delivered to your room 25 euros. Room is nice with a separat shower. Good ac. Nice flat screen tv, but no english language channels (bbc with no sound).

Room Tip: be careful not to prepay for several days ahead as there will be no refund if you need to change you...

I spent 3 nights at this hotel as part of a business trip. The room was very comfortable with all mod cons , loved the electric blinds and comfortable bed. The food was excellent in modern surroundings . It was located right next to the train station ( did not hear any trains from room) and 15 minute walk to the centre of Malaga shopping centre. I would definitely use again especially the lobby slide. An excellent choice for visiting Malaga.

This is a nice hotel with modern and clean rooms, spacious beds and nice linen. However, for some mad reason, the bedroom doors do not have soft close hinges on them and so they start banging from 6 in the morning as people leave. I didn't have a good nights sleep whilst there. The North facing rooms are a bit quieter as there is no traffic noise, but there is no sea view on this side. The hotel is very convenient for the airport. However, I would probably go for a room closer to the centre next time it is only about a 15 minute walk away, but all the action is in town. Then again, taxis are very good value and plentiful.

Room Tip: If you stay here, ask for a high floor (to minimise traffic noise) and with mountain rather than sea...

We stayed here just as a stop over before our bus to Granada in the morning, such a lovely hotel very quirky with its slide, great fun after a few drinks lol .our room was so comfy and very big ,we had breakfast included which was stunning loads of choice ,the bar area is very nice and welcoming spent quiet a few hours there before rolling into bed. The hotel is so convenient for the train from the airport and the busses , also only one stop on the train to the centre of malaga or 10 to 15 min walk , cannot recommend highly enough

Great location, you can access the hotel directly from the main railway station, Maria Zambrano, which is just 8 minutes from the airport so makes arrival in Malaga very easy and convenient. The hotel itself if very good but not excellent. This is the third time we've stayed here in 5 or 6 years and it's just starting to be a little bit tired, a bit tatty in places, needs a sharp eyed general manager to take action
Little moan aside, this is a great place to stay and much better now that all the construction work around the hotel and station is complete. The staff are super, Nacho made us very welcome and was very helpful when we asked questions about the area, thanks. Breakfast is excellent and well worth the extra cost if not included, kept us going until the afternoon. The rooms are clean, comfortable and a good size with massive beds, we have a super king at home and the Barcelo bed made ours look small!
There is an El Corte Ingles supermarket immediately across the road from the front door of the hotel, it has most things you will want. Five minutes up the road, turn left outside the main door of the railway station, there is the Larios Centre with another supermarket, cinema, lots of shops and an excellent tapas bar - recommended, turn right when you go into the centre and it's there!
In the station itself are lots of shops and eateries, they've made a really good job of this, well worth a good look round and if the weather is bad you don't need to leave the station complex!
From the hotel it's about fifteen minutes walk to the centre of Malaga with it's many shops and restaurants. There are several routes to explore, so it isn't a chore, enjoy it. Another five minutes and you are in Malaga Park and then onto the Marina where the cruise liners dock. This had all been renovated and is a great place to visit with lots of nice restaurants, lots of space to stroll around or just sit and people watch. I'd have liked more shady areas but I'm just a fair skinned redneck Brit!
Just across or around this little peninsular where the marina is, on the other side is La Malagueta beach with sun beds and yet more restaurants. A little inland is the bullring where the name La Malagueta comes from I think. In short, the Barcelo is a great base from which to explore a great little town which is full of interest and nice people.

I chose this hotel because it was not too far from the pick up location of a day tour we were going on. It is attached to a shopping mall and the train station. Perfect! It was only a 5 euro taxi ride to the busy pedestrian zone. The rooms were tidy and well decorated and the price value was unbeatable!

Fantastic place. Great rooms and a restaurant of the highest quality. Not expensive and right next to the railway station. Top quality service. Rooms very modern and very clean and tidy. Nothing is too much trouble. I'd recommend for business or pleasure.
