We have stayed at this hotel twice now and have just booked a third visit.

It is so easy to get to from the Airport by train. You can walk to the train station from the airport and for a couple of Euros you can get the train practically to the hotel door, you can access the hotel from the train station.

Te last time we stayed we had a family room, which is two adjoining rooms with the door between them open. The rooms are very spacious and well appointed. Very comfortable beds and the bathrooms are very nice, especially the shower. The hotel and the rooms were very clean and looked well looked after and the slide from the first floor is a great idea and not just for the children...

The reviewers have got it right. This hotel is good value, the staff are friendly, the breakfasts perfect and the rooms very comfortable. We also had a good meal at the restaurant: modern Spanish cooking professionally prepared and served. A few things to watch out for: 1) the wifi was somewhat unrelaible (the hotel blamed high winds affecting the aerial); 2) the location is great for the railway station but not the old town; and 3) if you come from the airport (a quick and cheap service) you need to get off at the penultimate stop and not go onto the final Malaga Central Station as we did.....

We stayed a couple of nights with my daughter and son in law and it was great to have adjoining rooms. None of this going out into the corridor knocking on each others doors! Not the greatest of views as we looked over the train station roof but we didn't choose the hotel for the view.

Check in was great. The lovely man who checked us in spoke very good English, but was happy for me to practice my Spanish through the check in process.

Our rooms were very clean with huge beds and not dissimilar to other Barceló Hotels we have stayed in. One plus was the free wi-fi, as I find you often get charged in Spain.

Reception area is lovely, and on more than one occasion we travelled from the first floor to reception down the shiny silver chute, which led straight into the cocktail bar.

Beds comfy and a button on the wall by the bed controls the blackout blinds.

Adequately stocked mini bar.

Breakfast at first look seemed to be the usual continental type, with fruit, yogurt, cereals, toast, pastries cooked meats and cheeses etc, until you spot the sign on the empty hot food counter which lists all the items they will cook to order for you. My scrambled eggs were perfect and plentiful and not this instant crap you often get nowadays. The full English that the others had was very good too. Various types of coffee on offer also.

The car park, though a little on the expensive side at 17 euros a day actually represented good value in central Malaga, as it appeared to be manned at all times.

There is an entrance to the right of reception which leads you straight into Maria Zambrano railway station so very useful if arriving at night.

This hotel is one that we will definitely be returning to.

Having just spent five days at Barcelo Malaga it is
easy to understand its elevated ranking. Our sixth
floor room featured a bed the size of a football pitch,
a double plus shower with rain forest and aqua
massage settings, everything being scrupulously
clean. The staff could not have been more helpful
throughout our stay and each day started with
a superb breakfast buffet both in terms of quality
and quantity. I can also highly recommend the main
restaurant which is situated just beyond.
The Healthy Gourmet menu featured was the
gastronomic highlight of our stay.
Words of caution, this hotel is business
oriented, aimed at short stay guests. Those
intended to spend longer would appreciate
more clothing storage, and 'quirky' applies to
the room lighting system which defies logic, well
mine anyway! As is well documented the hotel is
an integral part of Maria Zambrano railway station
which is in turn is a short 1.70 euro ride from the
airport. Bargain, enjoy, we did.

Room Tip: Our room had a superb shower facility. If you prefer a bath it may well be worth making the enquiry...

Nice hotel, great location! Near the train station, only 1 minute and 5-6 minutes from the bus station. Great location for travelers using public transport, 9 minutes from the international airport, trains run every 20 minutes.
Spacious rooms, all the equipment is working. Personnel to adequately respond to the questions.
The only negative - breakfast. No variety, in such a good hotel can not do stupid economy.

Nice design, well communicated hotel (fast train station in the some building and trains living from the sane station to the airport in 15 minutes at less than two euros the ride). The design is modern, the room is cute, child will enjoy playing the two floors long toboggan! Moreover shops, bowling and cinema just opening the door and entering the mall!!

We had to stay 3 nights at this hotel, because we were ill and could not fly.
So in consideration of this it was a very lucky thing that we found this hotel.
Lovely room with an enormous bathroom.
A very good breakfast buffet an a friendly staff.
Only small detail that irritated was the background music, in the restaurant area.
It was the same irritating three accords over and over, proberbly meant to be relaxing, but had the opposite effect on us.
