althoughpretty simple outfitted, that ibis is a good place in malaga and prfect fora few days of citytrip. directly located at an empty river, it was pretty calm there, although directly in the middle of the city. the large shopping street had been just 5 minute walk away. nice and fresh breakfast buffet. friendly reception staff there.

Easy to find - 15 mins on foot from Malaga Centro railway station which is on direct train line from Malaga Airport. Friendly, helpful reception staff. Attractive foyer area with small lounge and bar. Use of computer and internet in reception free for 20mins but there is free Wi-Fi in the hotel. Large, clean rooms with very comfortable bed and hot, powerful shower. TV with many channels in various languages. Hotel is just across a bridge from the historic city centre.
My only criticism is that the hotel is located next to the old river bed which is concreted over and this attracts young people and vagrants with dogs. I was kept awake one night by young people making noise into the early hours, even with the window closed. Also, the view of the concreted 'river' from rooms on that side of the hotel is not very attractive.
Hotel rooms have wooden floors which are very clean but also quite noisy, so I recommend a room on the top floor of the hotel. I was on the 3rd floor and could hear my neighbour above walking around all night! However, there was no noise from adjoining rooms on my floor, which is unusual for Spain and can be hard to find.

I stayed here on an overnight trip to Malaga and it proved a great base for exploring the old town. It was an easy walk from the bus stop at the port and check in was easy despite the hotel being busy. The room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. Excellent large shower and good lighting in the bathroom. I wasn't disturbed by any noise either from the hotel or from outside. I didn't eat or drink in the hotel, preferring to sample the many delights of Malaga itself but I would be happy to stay here again and at 55€ for a double room it was great value

The style of Ibis is all the same, nothing surprise you. Space is good enough to put two pieces of open baggage. Underground parking costs 12.50Eur per day and breakfast 7.5E per person. Shower is good and airco works fine. No complaint at 55E per night.

Second time staying in Malaga itself and the first time in a hotel. We knew we would not be spending much time in the hotel so were looking for something central, quiet and reasonably priced. This hotel met all criteria. The staff were friendly and always smiling, the rooms were basic but comfortable and we were at the front of the building but there was no noise to keep us awake although it is not set too far off the road. We didn't use the bar/restaurant facility so can't comment on that. I would definitely stay here again. The only comment I would make is that I am not sure if we were a couple of females and not a mixed couple I would like the walk back at night although it was only 5/10 mins and quite a busy area. There are also alot of hotels nearby. Malaga does have quite a few vagrants some of which camp under the bridges near the hotel although they never bothered us. I have been to Malaga several times now and I think it is improving all the time and is truly a beautiful city with loads to do and the harbour area is also now stunning - a really excellant destination for sun, sea, shops and sangria and much more

I agree with what others have said before - great location, clean, free wifi (even a printer to use free of charge - now that's rare!).

However, we got to the hotel after a long day of travel to find our 4th floor room baking in the afternoon sun. We were told by the front desk staff that the system had been switched to heat and couldn't be switched back to cooling. In southen Spain. In May.

We were moved to another room on the other side of the hallway. This was marginally better as it did not have the afternoon sun, but of course it became just as hot the following morning.

Critical issue, as far as we were concerned.

This is the best place among all the hotels in Malaga for a quick city tour. Everything is close to the hotel, the parking is underneath and cte centre is 5 minutes away. I would definitely recommend this place
