Stayed here twice last week! First time in a superior room (€10 extra per night, room 117) then in a standard room. Our first room had a small balcony that overlooked the street; we found it very noisy at night so the second stay was in a room overlooking the internal courtyard/bar area - significantly more peaceful. In both rooms we had bathrobes, slippers, in-room safe, free wifi, minibar, seating area, spacious bathroom. lots of toiletries and in my opinion the second room (204) was more roomy. The beds in both rooms were HARD so ask for a mattress topper if you find a hard bed tough on circulation/.joints etc. The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. The bar was reasonably priced, relaxing and lunch was good too. The cathedral is about one minute away & the main shopping area starts at the doorstep. The city tour bus stops just outside the hotel, the train station is five mins by taxi, it really is a great location and a stylish hotel.

Just back from three nights at the Molina Lario in slightly chilly Malaga, but nonetheless beautiful! We stayed at the Molina Lario, based on the reviews on TA, and as I had fallen in love with the picture of the bed on the website...
I contacted the hotel direct and booked from the UK and spoke to a charming man who said while he couldn't guarantee the four poster but he would do his best...well they did and it was great to stay in the room that looked just like the picture and quite possibly was the actual room itself.
The sheets are great, they felt like the best Egyptian cotton, and just the right amount of pillows. So four poster heaven it was....
The hotel itself is very central and staff were helpful and courteous. It maybe lacked a little bit of soul, but my boyfriend kept reminding me that Andalusians don't like the cold and hence why they might have been a little reserved....in February. I think they were looking forward to sunshine as much as we were...
We checked out the pool, but it was too chilly to stay although one couple were bravely using the sun loungers, books in hand.
I would definitely go back, as we were made to feel very welcome and were armed with good recommendations for tapas bars by the reception staff which were just a stones throw away...
If you are going in the next couple of weeks, i.e. it might still be chilly, take a couple of good DVD's as they have the facilities in the room and we didn't think to take any, there were none at the hotel that we could locate.
Perhaps too the putting green will be in action by then on the sixth floor, but with all that Malaga has to offer, knocking balls into holes on a rooftop of a hotel might be doing the city a disservice!

Room Tip: Definitely ask if its possible to have a four poster room, they can't guarantee it, but we struck lucky. We overlooked restaurants/bars and it was relatively quiet but it was February...

Four of us stayed here for 5 nights in February, and it exceeded all expectations. We had requested 2 bedrooms on an upper floor, and we had rooms next door to each other on the 7th, the highest level for rooms. We had booked standard rooms, and didn't need for more. Contemporary decoration, firm but comfortable beds - we also asked for mattress toppers in advance, modern, clean bathroom and bathrobes and even a kettle with tea and coffee - what more could you want?

As per other reviews, staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were of a good standard and plenty of variety. Hot food was bacon, scrambled eggs, tomatoes and mushrooms, but you could order omelettes, boiled or fried eggs. Buffet also included a cold selection of meats, cheeses, smoked salmon, yoghurt and fruit (fab strawberries). Good coffee with a selection of Nespresso capsules.

The hotel itself has a small rooftop pool (though the weather was a bit chilly for a dip) and has a few outside patio areas on levels 6,7 and 8 for sitting outdoors. It also has free wifi, and a couple of PCs with printers where you can print boarding passes etc.

Location was excellent, just a short stroll into the old town, perfect for a walk along the front, and very near to the bus terminal for buses along the coast.

Malaga is a great place for a short break, lots to do, lovely shops and outstanding tapas bars and restaurants. This was our second visit and we are already planning our return and will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful hotel with large cool lobby right in the shopping district. On the roof there is an outdoor swimming pool with a view on the cathedral, which is only a few minutes away. Rooms are large enough, bathroom is clean and has several free products, like a toothbrush and comb along with the usual shampoo. Every day the room is cleaned, bedlinen is changed as well as all the towels. I find this unnecessary, but that is a personal choice. A bottle of water and a chocolate is offered on your first day. The hotel is extremely clean and personnel is friendly and speaks English well enough, contrary to the majority of the Malagans. The bar and restaurant is very nice too with cosy leather seats. Breakfast is not cheap, but is extensive. One large disadvantage I found the noise from the street: people shouting, construction work deep into the night, car engines running for hours, empty glass bottles being thrown into a bin, etc. Having to keep the window closed, there was no fresh air and it was too warm in the room. Overall, a hotel I would use again, if I could get a room on the patio side.

Very clean modern hotel. First impressions were 10/10. Reception staff Javier in particular offered exceptional service. We opted for a room upgrade and were not disappointed. Our room was very spacious with spectacular views over the port with lots of extras, complimentary decanter or whiskey, robes, slippers and lots of toiletries. Bar is very comfortable and inviting with lots of choice. Breakfast offers an excellent selection something for everyone! Would made the trip memorable was the quality of staff, so very friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble . Definitely would recommend this hotel to everyone. I will certainly be visiting again.

Room Tip: Check out the upgrades, corner suites offer spectacular views over port and we stayed on 7th floor and slept with window open and were not disturbed by noise from the traffic.
