“A Very Busy Place”
Reviewed November 26, 2013

The Plaza de la Marina is where the tourist office is located, so there are always many people around the plaza, going to or leaving this office, where they are helped get maps and brochures of sights around the city. The Plaza is also used for many temporary exhibitions of art, food fairs, medieval fairs, and other such things. It is really the center of the city. There is a fountain that is quite beautiful when it is working.

“Great green space in the city”
Reviewed October 30, 2013

With the ocean & marina on one side & the start of the old town & the Alcazaba on the other, this straight, long park area is a delight. This is kinda a botanical garden offering a wide range of plants all clearly marked. Overhead the parakeets rule the roost. On the ground the locals come to sit and pass the time of day. You'll more likely pass though it on your way to somewhere else - but it is worth the pass through

“Fresh and free”
Reviewed October 15, 2013

This is a beautiful promenade near the port and city centre. Full of flora, fountains and statuary it makes for an interesting and cool stroll. The parakeets flash in and out of the trees and we ended up " talking " to one perched on the wall circling one of the fountains.
Well worth a stroll and a sit down
