Nice hotel with a small balcony. 5 min walk to the beach, 10 min walk to the old centre with a lot of good restaurants and nice bars. If you get a room overlooking the port, you also got a busy road below. The rooms at the back of the hotel got a wiew to the castle and also the bullring.
The rooms are nice, also the bathroom. (with shampoo etc)
Staff is friendly, good speaking english. There was no problem for us to check out late - for free. A quiet hotel, with massage, fitnessroom, sauna etc at the top floor, also a sun terrace.
Good value for money - will love to stay here again.
Taxi station at the backside

Room Tip: At the front sunny and noisy, at the back, quiet without sun. A nice owerview on the higher floors.

This hotel is really well located - literally 5 mins to port, beach and the old part of the city. Many, many good restaurants in the old part of the city. We loved watching the the liners and ferries/ships around the harbour. We have stayed in many 4 star hotels in Europe and USA and fail to see how this qualified as 4 star. The breakfasts is less than mediocre - although the waiter we have had every morning is friendly. The rest of the staff have not been so. However, because of the good location, and quiet area, we would stay again.

Room Tip: Ask for a high room to sample the views

The location of this hotel is great for sightseeing but not so good for sleeping as its on a very busy road and I have never heard so many sirens in all my life!!
Good points: location, staff, being allowed to check out late (for a small fee), clean
Bad points : horrible flimsy small towels, breakfast was limited and repetitive, no tea/coffee making facilities in the room
Overall good but never 4 star

I would not say that this hotel deserves it's four star rating for instance I don't think I have ever before stayed in a hotel where the bar was converted into a breakfast room using patio furniture. That said the breakfast was fine and the coffee was the best from a machine I have tasted. Our room was on the tenth floor and had a great view of the bullring and the castle, the room like the rest of the property was clean and well kept.
As others have said the outstanding bonus that this hotel has to offer is its location sitting practically on top off the newly opened port and its shops, bars a and restaurants and only a couple of hundred metres from the beach. An easy 10 minute walk takes you into the old centre off Malaga I can recommend it without hesitation.

Room Tip: Choose a room on a high floor on the right hand side

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights for our honeymoon. We booked a junior suite which was large, clean and had plenty of storage. The room had air conditioning which was welcome as the average temperature outside was 30 degrees!! The bathroom was large with his & hers basins and desperate shower and bath. The bed was a king size and was really comfortable, the room was very quiet a night with no noise from other rooms or from the road.

Breakfast is a buffet affair, you can choose from fried eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, churros, ham's, cheeses, pastry's, yoghurt's and more. The staff were excellent but we had to queue on our last day!! Malaya city centre is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel doesn't have a swimming pool but does have 10 sunbeds on the roof and a jacuzzi/hot tub which you can only use from 16.30-21.30.

Malaya is a very big city and to help us find our bearings we took a horse ride guided tour
which cost 30 Euros for 45 minutes, well worth it.

There are many Tapas bars and restaurants in Malaga centre, these are a wee bit 'touristy' but the food was good. Beware of the beggars and the guitar players all wanting your money.

I think the better choice of bars are in the port area, which is modern, clean, quiet and beggar free! (See my other restaurant reviews)

Malagueta beach is only a 5 minute walk away. The beach is long and was used by a lot of the locals. It appeared a boat had lost a load of timber as there was loads it washed up but the council had most of it cleared up in a couple of days.

The Hotel is a few minutes walking from the harbour and the beach of the Malagueta.
The service is excellent and the sight amazing if u are on one of the top floors. We were on the 9th floor and could see the "Plaza de Toros" inside, The old city ("Alcazaba"), the sea and a big part of the city centre of Malaga. Absolutely reccomended. Furthermore, as we found an offer (around 65 Euros one night), it was definitely value for money. Unfortunately we did not have the time to try the Spa and the breakfast from the Terrace. Would definitely come back again.

Room Tip: top floors u will have an amazing view of the city

Hotel itself is very nice, good sized rooms, modern bathroom, nice little balcony with a slight view of the ocean and the harbor. Easy walking distance to beach, variety of restaurants and city center. Trying to access the hotel by car and parking is very challenging and its not helpful when the front desk tells you to pull the car around the corner which turns out to be a one way street going the opposite direction. Would stay at the hotel again but would find another way of getting there.
