“great location, stunning views”
Reviewed May 18, 2011

Very nice, clean hotel. Small rooms, but updated and cute. We had a view right over the bull ring, with the castle to the left and the ocean to the right of it, amazing!! and we didn't even have an upgraded room, just the lowest price I could find on hotels.com.
The only problem was the rooms were a bit noisy, we could hear people walking in the halls and the elevator and one night the front desk called to tell us to be quiet when we were up late watching t.v.! Anyway, great location, beautiful views. A long but beautiful walk to the city center, but doable and very close to the beach.
Amazing views from the rooftop "spa" area. The spa was tiny, indoors and luke warm.

The initial purpose for our trip was a mini hen party for me and my best friend who is getting married next month. The plan was to catch some sun and enjoy cocktails in the evening. However, by the time the trip came round I was 5 months pregnant and having a wild time involved staying up past 10.30pm!

The hotel was perfect for our relaxing short break. 3 minutes walk to the beach and 10 minutes into the city centre the hotel was well placed. It is on a busy road which can be a bit noisey but it is to be expected in the city. The staff were excellent and couldnt be more helpful. We used the spa facilities daily and found it to be a relaxing break. A taxi rank is right by the hotel and to the airport is only 20euros.
The city centre has a wide selection of shops and places to eat. I would liken Malaga to Barcelona.

Excellent location for a city break in Malaga. Very helpful staff at check in - room was ready from 11:30am. Modern very clean room (junior suite) with jacuzzi bath and separate shower. Comfortable king bed, good double glazing eliminates 90% of busy street noise below. Roof top terrance with great views of city and also down into the adjacent bull fighting ring. Sun beds were very welcome to relax on after walking to city attractions. Good breakfast. Bar good for pre/post dinner drinks. Also try La Mensula restaurant (less than 5 mins walk away) - see separate review.

hotel was clean, very pleasant, and although five or six floors high,at this time of year seemed small and cosy. Staff friendly. Menu not very big, but may be better later in the year. However couple of nice restaurants nearby, if you leave hotel and turn left towards coast. Rooms well tended, very clean. We sunbathed on the roof terrace beside fitness suite.
Small supermarket across the road. although it seems far away from everything it is not. very short walk along beautiful gardens to old town. good shopping area. Go to tourist office at end of these gardens, as there are interesting things to see.
Downside -Main road will be noisy if you are on low floor. Restaurant soundproofed but rooms not.

Room Tip: higher floor at back facing bullring.

great hotel in a great location - next to the bullring, 2mins walk from the beach and close to the castle entrance - although it is a long walk up!! you will need good shoes for that! and water.
the town with great shops such as zara and mango is only about a 10 mins walk from the hotel and it has enough restaurants and little tapas bars for any occasion! there are hundreds! the cathedral is amazing and the picasso museum is worth a look. hotel is lovely and our room was great - i would say request a room on a high floor though as the traffic is non stop and so could affect your sleep. not the hotel's faulty - just alot of traffic.
you can get the A bus straight from the airport to the town - get off at the last stop and you are 2 mins from the hotel. you will see the hotel from the bus and it's only 2 euro per person!! great for transfers! we caught bus there and back to airport and it was fab - the bus ran at half 9 at night when we caught it too but not sure about how late it runs.

beach is gorgeous and weather was lovely even in feb - i got a little sunburnt!!

overall - a gem of a place we loved it and recommended to everyone.

Enjoyed our stay. Good surroundings and very friendly staff. Nice breakfast but pricey if not included on your tarrif.
Nice bar/lounge with reasonable prices and welcoming staff.
It's a 10 minute walk to the centre of Malaga through pleasant gardens. There are a couple of excellent Italian restaurants close to the hotel. Trastavere and La Romantica. La Romantica in particular was enjoyable - very lively and full of locals(always a good sign) Excellent food and friendly staff.
The airport bus (A) terminates just outside the hotel and runs every 1/2 hour. Takes about 30 minutes and costs 2 euros.
There is a Taxi rank just outside the hotel. Taxis are plentiful and inexpensive. The taxi to the bus or train station costs about 5euros. There were 4 of us so it was virtually the same as the bus.

We stayed the last week of October 2010. After our arrival we could immediate have a small lunch. No problem to serve allthough it was a strange time (for Dutch) to eat, 3.30 pm.
The staff is very friendly and helpfull. Not everybody speaks English very well, but enough to help you out. {My Spanish sucks :-)}
Our room was very clean. Also during our stay no complaints about it. Actually, i would recommend this hotel for a short stay in Malaga. Just outside the centre, 300 mtr of Malagueta beach and with a nice view on the Alcazaba and Gibalfaro fortress.
