The hotel is very well located for travellers who only stay one or two nights as it is directly located next to the main train and bus station, which makes it the perfect hotel upon arrival via train, bus or plane (there is a subway from the airport) especially if you continue travelling the next day. The city centre is within walking distance as well.

The rooms feature nice bathrooms with a great atmosphere and a well filled mini bar. Unfortunately the funriture is sometimes a bit run down, also the TVs are pretty old and channel selection could be better (few international channels). Nice spa area with rooftop whirlpool.

Room Tip: If you are sensitive to noise avoid the rooms that face towards the street.

Lovely staff...great room...smashing breakfast...near shops and train station...excellent price! Staying one night here really got our trip to Andalucia off to a great start! Will return next time in town!

Room Tip: If possible get one on the 6th floor...great views over the city...really lovely!

As a sometime lone female traveller, i really like this hotel. I might arrive at midnight and leave early and it always feels safe and welcoming and it easy to reach from malaga airport by cab, or from the station. Good find for me.

Rooms were a little shabby, reception was friendly and helpful when i asked to change my room it was no problem. Breakfast was acceptable and the hotel was conveniently located for the town. We found a very nice restaurant a 10 minute walk away.

This hotel is very easy to get to from the airport. Maria Zambrano station is the third quick stop from the airport (approx 10mins), and the hotel is across the road. If you don't see the hotel (look to your right) when you come out of the station, you have come out a different exit, so keep walking right. Hotel is great - clean, modern, and the rooms are just like the professional pictures. Large bathroom with complimentary toiletries. Housekeeping did a great job of replenishing everything. There is a mini-bar in the room, which we used as our own little fridge to keep drinks and chocolates cold. The "spa" area is on the sixth floor (jacuzzi, 2 showers, wc, and small sunbathing area). A great way to relax at the end of the day, and was always empty when we used it. Breakfast was great - from continental to cooked. Half-board evening meal was hit and miss in taste (sometimes wonderful, sometimes disappointing) - but the hotel was such good value for half-board that it was worth it. Evening meal was choice of two different starters, main, and dessert, with complimentary glass of wine, bottled water, and tea/coffee. For some odd reason the first night was a disastrous canteen food buffet, but the following three nights it was waiter service, properly plated. Hotel location means it is quite a walk into the old city and marina area, so it is better to catch the bus (#3 or#16) cost of 1.30 euro. The bus stop is across the street from the hotel. There is also a large supermarket and retail outlet store only metres from the reception area. Great to buy picnic things etc. You can park in the underground carpark below hotel, cost of 14.50 euros per night. The lift can take you straight up to your room. The only negative of the hotel is that it is quite a distance from Malaga Centre, but if you don't mind the five minute bus ride, it is a very affordable stay without compromising on comfort.

Room Tip: Choose 5th floor if you are planning to use the jacuzzi, as you only have to ride the elevator one f...

We flew into Madrid, and then took the train down to Malaga. I wanted a hotel close to the train station, and the Silken Puerta had good reviews so I booked a room for 1 night. We were very pleased that it was such a short walk from the train station. It was no problem pulling our luggage along the sidewalk for that short distance. We had a rent car reserved for us at the station, so in the morning, we just walked back to pick it up. The hotel was very clean, and the staff was helpful. We did have an evening meal in the hotel's dining room, and my husband was very pleased with the hamburger. He said the beef was among the best he has ever tasted. Our room was nice and very comfortable and we slept soundly; of course, this was our first night in Spain and we had been traveling for about 30 hours so the comfortable bed was much appreciated. Another convenient thing about the hotel's location is the fact that there is a market right across the driveway. We bought picnic items, wine, an insulated bag and some ice. We were so pleased that we didn't have to drive around searching for a store. I highly recommend this hotel for the comfort and cleanliness and the proximity to the station.

When I think about this hotel, the first thing that comes to my mind is a friendly, welcoming reception at the reception desk.
Hotel is situated near the railway station and faces El corte Ingles outlet. The hotel is clean and well maintened (although you can see it's not a brand new building). It looks very nice from the outside at night. Brekfast is excellent.
I recommend this place for exploring the city and for shopping.
I will consider staying there again.
