“Better than American!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2013 via mobile

Those cupcakes are treats for the eye, nose and mouth.

Why they beat the competition:

1. Innovative taste combinations
2. Very beautiful to look at
3. Cream is buttery, tasty and fantastic. Not sugary and boring
4. Cake is heavenly and juicy, not dry sugar cake

Not much place to sit inside this small gem, but nice plazas all around.

Must visit!

“Tasty cookies”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013 via mobile

The shop is nice and got a family atmosphere .. their cookies r the best ive never tasted something like it in my life .. the bread is yummy .. I chose 3 for service because the shop keeper was a bit slow .. and 3 for atmosphere because they dont have a sitting area, I wish they had .. it wouldve been great with their cute cups for "teas"

“Nice, but over rated”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013 via mobile

This plae is nice enough, a few good cakes but the selection is limited and it's very small. Doesn't deserve to be #1, maybe if it was larger, open longer hours and had a greater selection, it might deserve to be ranked high. Shouldn't even be listed under restaurants really either as it's just a small ake shop with 2 chairs...

“Strawberry Scones Forever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

I'd read about Julia Cupcakes on Tripadvisor so we just had to check it out. Surely couldn't be that good, virtually no criticism. Well it was that good, even better than good. Okay, no one said how small it was, very, very small in fact, with 2 seats at the only table, well, actually a wall mounted shelf. Most people seem to use it as a shop/bakery takeaway. The owner was a lovely man, who let us try to converse in our little bit of Spanish. The cakes and scones were amazing, not only to eat but to look at. Little works of art. See the photos. We had a coffee and a couple of cakes whilst we sat chatting. Excellent in all respects.

“What the cupcakes!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

We went there only once, but if only I knew how good the cupcakes are. Very fresh and delicious. It makes me feel like getting back to Malaga just for another cupcake with dulce de leche. The price is also very reasonable. Absolutely recommended.
