Picasso was born in Madrid and it is fitting that there is a museum with a good collection of his paintings and works of art. I always enjoy seeing his work and this visit made our stay in Malaga

More Picassos that you are likely to see anywhere else, all housed in a stately town house based around a central courtyard. We also saw an excellent exhibition of the grotesque at the same time.

We visited the Prado museum in Madrid to view Picasso's work and there were several good ones there including his most famous but we found the best presentation of his work in this gallery. Of course, it is situated in Malaga where he was born and the museum is dedicated to him. It is interesting to note that he never returned to live in Malaga for the rest of his life.
The museum is nice and modern but difficult to find. Ask for directions after you have wandered up and down the streets like we did, lol.

I enjoyed viewing the Art here. They had a brochure that explained some of the paintings. It was interesting to learn the time line of Picassos life.See his family and other famous painters portrayed in his work. Also to understand the perceptions he sometimes had while painting.Very intersting

The display gave a background of where Picasso learnt his art and the various styles that influences him showing both his earlier work untill his latter times. His great ability to illustrate a concept and picture with just a few strokes was amazing.
