Just back from our second stay at the Eurostars Astoria, i cant thank the reception staff both a lady and gentlemen who assisted me in seeking medical assistance for my sister. Any staff we encountered in the hotel were all very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and if you have paid for breakfast and are heading off before 7.30 a picnic will be ready for you to take on your journey. I have given the 5 stars partially for the help we got, it isn't a five star hotel but we had 5 star treatment. I will stay in this hotel again if in Malaga and have no hesitation in recommending.

Room Tip: We had a triple room no 608

Paid 120 euros for a single room .... there was no space around the bed so small it was the room. Hard mattresses...definitely not worth the money I paid.can definitely find far better for same price.

The room and the bathroom were good, with some minor problems (see later).
Breakfast was great, wide range of things to choose from (fruit juices, fruit, fruit yogurt (different flavours), cereals, dried fruit, cold meats, cheeses, nice bread, lots of cakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, etc.). They were good quality and/or well prepared.
The street itself is not very atmospheric, but the historic centre is not far.
The guy at the reception was friendly and helpful.
It's a plus that there's water (with lemon, mint and strawberry) at reception, and also apples.
It's a shame about the following issues:
- As with many other hotels, the lighting in the room is awful. No lights on the ceiling, so finding anything in my suitcase was a struggle.
- The bin in the bathroom is so light, it tips over every time you step on the pedal. I had to bow down and hold it with one hand while stepping on the pedal to stop it from falling over with a bang. It's just annoying.

Can't fault this hotel , good location just a 5 min walk from the cathedral , only 100 metres from the centro rail station. The staff are genuinely friendly , beds are comfy , shower good , breakfast is good , would recommend and would happily visit again

The staff were very nice, very helpful with directions, and spoke good English. The hotel was clean, and the room had a nice little balcony. The bathroom was nice and had a spa tub. Parking was separate but close by. The bed was clean but the mattress was hard and uneven, so not comfortable. Lobby had a slightly unpleasant smell on our arrival. Graffiti outside throughout the area. There was no coffee shop or restaurant.
