“Good little Hostal”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 29, 2013

This hostal is very clean, very close to the center. I think about 20 mins walk to the bus and train station. Victor and the wife seems like a lovely couple. Only interacted with victor and seems knowledgeable. One thing, no reception after certain hours, but that didnt bother me. If you want peace and quiet for a good price, then this is the place for you. If you are a backpacker and hoping to meet people, try somewhere else.

Stayed one night with a friend, this is an excellent Hostal, very quiet, clean and well kept, welcoming reception staff very knowledgeable about the city and provided a free map, the location is easy to find and only a short walk to the main center, it has an attractive roof terrace, kitchen and common areas, rooms nice and warm (December stay)- Will use again on next visit

Basic but lovely room, close to centre, great value for money, lovely host (Victor), beautiful rooftop terrace as well as the little room downstairs with the fountain and a fridge with beer and wine that is cheap!

I will definitely stay in this place again on my next visit.

Me and my partner stayed at Casa Al Sur last week and we had been really well looked after by the lovely owner who was also helpful to us.
Our room was on top of the roof next to the terrace, we felt safe and relaxed during our stay.
The bathrooms were clean at all time.
The hostel is closed to the city centre.
Malaga is a nice place to see, especially the castle on the hills is a must see.
Best to go between September-October, it's not as crowded as during summer.

Room Tip: if you're a couple, ask for a double bed room as you can also get a twin room.

Was initially going to stay in a dorm as a lone traveller, but when my boyfriend decided to join me booked a private room. We had a lovely time. Peaceful, friendly hostel. Light, airy room on the top floor next to the roof terrace. Very friendly welcome. Clean spacious bathrooms. Such good value!

This is a really nice hostel, very clean and all rooms and common areas are nicely decorated with great attention to detail It's centrally located and only a short walk away from all the major attractions. Most importantly though the staff/owners were very friendly and made you feel very welcome after a long trip to Spain. They also helped us with information about the area, bus time tables, ordering a taxi etc. - thank you so much! We will be back!
