“Tasty food with good range of options”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

This was a really nice restaurant with a good range of options which were more interesting and classy than run-of-the-mill tapas. There were plenty of veggie options. It was in a nice location on a big square, which had quite a bustling atmosphere overall, although I guess it was a bit quieter than usual as we were there on a Monday night. Service was good too. Food was perhaps a little pricey, though not excessively so.

“Well worth a visit”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

We visited this restaurant twice on our recent visit to Malaga, once during the day and the other at night. The food was excellent and the service was just as good. The owner made sure that everything was up to standard and kept the staff on their toes. The tapas we had were some of the best we had tasted on our many visits to Malaga. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and has a nice contemporary feel. Definitely one of the best in Malaga.

“Quality Restaurant”
Reviewed September 27, 2012

The restaurant is in an ideal position in Plaza de la Merced - friendly staff, a very service-oriented approach with an attentive owner. The food was imaginatively presented as well as being delicious to eat with excellent local wines. We enjoyed the whole ambience on both occasions we dined there.

“Delicious Food”
Reviewed September 12, 2012

The restuarant is located in a central area in a square in Malaga. The food here was very good, we had a number of different tapas dishes accompanied with a bottle of wine. We both thoroughly enjoyed the company of the hosts, they were very attentive. We had the pleasure of a british man come round and ask if the food was ok, and kindly handed out postcards to send back to our families. All in all a delicious meal.

“Looks and tastes delicious”
Reviewed September 9, 2012

We found La Plaza by chance while staying in Malaga on 3rd July and I am so glad we did. After looking at the menu we decided on the tapas option. Whilst making our choices the owner came over, introduced himself and was very friendly and helpful without being overpowering. When our food arrived it looked and tasted delicious-the goat's cheese with black pudding was outstanding. The spare ribs were the best we have had - very meaty. Service was excellent. Robert came over when we had finished our main course and described the desserts available - all home made - and we couldn't resist. Both our chocolate fudge cake and cheesecake couldn't be faulted and looked beautiful. Our total bill for our meal with wine and drinks was only €61-incredible value. If we return to Malaga we will be sure to return to La Plaza.
