What a fortuitous find! We'd arrived in Malaga from Ronda, we parked in the Corte Engles carpark and walked into town. I could smell fish so I investigated and of course it was the market. It was 3 so they were washing up, I asked one of the guys is there a cafe and he pointed to another door. We walked in and there were about 50 well dressed youngish people eating chatting and drinking as two bars. We squeezed in and the food looked great. Luckly the lady next to me spoke English and when she found out I was a foodie, she said it was obvious as this was the best place for fish on Friday in Malaga. All catch of the day so we ordered one of each with some wine and beer. The tuna was so good I had to have two. I don't think they could believe how much we ate. IF YOU LIKE FISH AND YOU LIKE VERY GOOD QUALITY FOOD. DON'T EAT ANY WHERE ELSE.

likes: I love the atmosphere of markets, shopping is much more personal there. It is full of stalls ofering an abundance of seafood, fruit and veg, meat, spices, dry fruit, and sellers can advise you on the way of preparing dishes, give you sth to try etc. Everything is fresh.

dislikes: prices are higher than in a supermarket

Very common for European cities to have a central market
This one also has a taste of northern Africa, Morocco.
Fish, Meat, Vegetables etc
Worth the time to visit
