“Stunning views”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 2, 2013

A bit of a climb to the top but well worth the effort. Stunning views whichever route you choose. We walked up the zig zag path from the square nr the Bullring & paused for lots of photos on the way up. Worth noting too that it is free from 2pm on Sundays

Then take the same route down which joins the path to the Alcazaba - also free after 2pm with lots of phot opportunities inside

“Fabulous ancient castle”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2013

I was fascinated to see this castle and imagine what life was like hundreds of years ago for royals and their courts. The furnishings, details and works of art are amazing!

“Well worth the climb! One of Malaga's "Must Sees"”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 21, 2013

Though the climb up to it via steep flights of steps and hair-pin raps, this castle is well worth the climb, not just for the interest of the fortifications themselves but for the spectacular views over the city and harbour. There is also a small museum that traces the history of the city very effectively, with particular reference to military aspects. All the explanatory notices in the museum are in Spanish, which provided me no problem as I'm at home in the language, but they are sufficiently clear that somebody with even a smattering would follow them.If you visit Malaga the Castillo is a "must see".

“Get up that bloomin hill!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 21, 2013

I'm lazy. I tracked up the winding stairway to the top. Not for the faint hearted. Great views over Malaga city and the port. A the top is the old castle.. £2 to get in.. wonder for 20-30 minutes around the walls...some great photos. There is a very small exhibition of soldiers/mannequins thro the centuries.. a little 'grace brothers' in style... glad I did it.
