We first visited the Alcazaba a few years ago, after a train ride in from the campo where we were staying and a long walk round the city, we'd probably had enough by the time we got here, so didn't appreciate it as much as we should have. This time, however, we were stopping in the city centre and were far better prepared to enjoy it appropriately (even though we'd made the interesting walk up to the Gibralfaro prior to it!) and it didn't disappoint.
The gardens are spectacular, the views equally so and the history is astounding. A must see if you're visiting Málaga.
