“A Beautiful Church”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 15, 2013

La Manguita is the nickname for the Cathedral, because it has only one tower. The money for the second tower was used to aid the Americans in their war of independence against the British. Few Americans know this, which is too bad. I myself am in favor of finishing the second tower because I think the church will look better that way. Today it is not symmetrical, which removes from its beauty.

“Mass at the Cathedral”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2013

Last Sunday I heard Mass at the Cathedral at 11 am and it was a very good experience. The archibishop said the Mass, accompanied by seven priests. The music and singing were very good. I looked at the beautiful main altar and enoyed seeing all that beauty, with all the lights on. There was plenty of seating for everyone there.

I think other visitors should go there on Sunday and experience the Mass. They will enjoye the experience.

“The one-armed lady”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 11, 2013

The cathedral of Malaga is a massive building in the centre, near the Picasso Malaga Museum. It has very impressive dimensions and interior. The money needed to build the cathedral ran out before they could build the second tower, hence the locals call in La Manquita, the one-armed lady.

“Stunning building from outside and large on in”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2013

We walked by this location and popped in during mid service . A stunning building worth a look if you have time . Beggars outside when we visited but they didn't hassle us .
Nice walks around location through little lanes with lots of places to eat and shop
