Recently been to this hotel for a 2 night stay as part of a package deal with the train fares. I agree with most of the reviews that this is a basic hotel but well maintained. The decor is fine. The bathroom had a great shower! There was a closet to hang clothing and a safe inside. There is a ceiling fan which you can turn off the lights to if you just want to use the fan alone while sleeping instead of the ac. Our room faced the outside of the hotel which has a bar across the way. Those who are light sleepers should request a room facing in. We had no problems with the city noise.

The cleaners are up early doing the rooms and you do hear them on the tiled floors. Not an issue for us but what made me a bit unsettled was that there were no 'do not disturb' signs to hang on the door so I wasn't sure how they knew not to come in. (No one did so I am sure there's a system in place)

The hotel reception was very nice and pleasant.

The location is great if you want to be by the train or bus station as it is about a 10 min walk. Not so great if you want to be close to the beach or the center. The center is a 20 min walk and the beach is 40 mins. There are buses around but we didn't use them. We didn't mind the walk but it meant taking everything with us to be out for the day.

We didn't take up the breakfast. We walked to a cafeteria near by. Most restaurants are in the center or near the train station.

Overall pleased with the hotel but I would probably choose something more central next time.

I sayed at the Zeus Hotel for 3 nights recently and found it to be good value for money. It is not a high quality hotel, but the staff are polite and helpful and the room and hotel are very clean. I had a twin room and the beds were quite narrow and very mobile. I had to move the bed away from the fixed headboard to stop it rattling every time I moved at night. The bathroom was a good size, the shower was very good and there was always plenty of hot water. The cleaner started at 8.30am and due to the tiled floors, made a lot of noise. There was adequate storage space in the room with a wardrobe and drawers, there was also a small safe in the room that was free to use. To get breakfast you have to go to the sister hotel up the road, you are given a bread roll and a croissant and have a choice of either jam, cheese or cold meat. You also get a choice of tea or coffee or water and juices. This is a very good hotel as a base for visiting Malaga, it takes 10 minutes by train to get from the airport and is about 5 minutes from either Maria Zambrano or Malaga Central stations. The city centre is a 10 minute walk from the hotel and you can also easily get to the newly developed port area and the beach.

I arrived late, about 00.30. The check in swift and the guy on duty was very pleasant and helpful. The room was quite spacious and spotlessly clean. Shower was good. I stayed without breakfast, but good and handy for the train station.

Room Tip: Shop around for prices. I was single in a double room for 35.11 euros

This hotel is a good choice for those who are budget-minded and seeking a good location. The hotel is close to the Maria Zambrano Train Station and the bus station, which is just behind the Maria Zambrano Station. (From the airport, take the train. It is faster and cheaper than the bus. It takes about 8 minutes to reach Maria Zambrano and another 8-10 minutes to walk to the hotel.) The hotel is close to the shore and not located on a busy street. Staff could be friendlier: We did not quite understand why the hotel staff appeared to be grumpy, particularly upon our arrival. If the hotel is not full, ask for a room that is away from other rooms. During our stay we had a woman next door who liked walking around on what sounded like high heels. The hotel doesn't offer breakfast (just like most others). There is local cafe around the corner, midway from the train station, which offered breakfast for 2,5€ (coffee, juice, pitufo). If you like tapas, try the tapas bar two doors down from the hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is away from other rooms.

This hotel is quietly situated less than a 10 minute walk from Maria Zambrano Station in Malaga.
The staff are helpful and speak excellent English the rooms are individually airconditioned and the rooms are very clean.
Breakfast is optional at a hotel nearby consisting of 2 bread buns and jam with the option of cold meats and unlimited tea and coffee, for 3e a bargin.
I stayed for the feria and the hotel is ideally situated for bus or train travel and approx 20 mins walk to the centre of Malaga.
I highly recommend it.

I stayed in this hotel in Malaga during last summer with some friends. The staff is kind and friendly but the hotel is not in a central position and the breackfast is not so good. The price we had to pay was right.
