Owner description: Malaga, the proud capital city of the Costa del Sol is a culturally rich, historic and colorful destination. This city has been home to many diverse cultures from the ancient Phoenician people, of nearly 3000 years ago, to our current Hollywood stars, like Antonio Banderas, passing through Romans, Byzantines, Visigoths, Moors, and Spanish. Among the spanish, one of the most influential painters of the XX century, Pablo Picasso, born in Malaga in 1881. It only takes a quick glance at a map to realize the commercial and geographical importance of the Province of Malaga. Many people have enjoyed the benefits of the easy access to the Mediterranean and the gateway to two different continents. Now Malaga plays hosts to millions of tourists every year. The port of Malaga welcomes hundreds of cruise lines every season and the economical airport makes for a great starting point to discover the rest of Spain. Come and enjoy this sun bathed city, ancient ruins, lively bar scenes and off course, La Playa.

“Great Tour!”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

We joined the free walking tour on our first day in Malaga. The tour was in English and French and our guide (Luis) could speak both languages fluently. He gave us a good overview of the city and we learned some intresting facts about Spanish history. The tour took 2-3 hours and we met nice people from all over the world.

“It's free sooo”

Can't go wrong with free. Shows you some things you wouldn't otherwise know, especially if you didn't buy a guide book. Luis was great, conducted the tour in both English and Spanish (very impressive!)

“nice way to know the city”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

As I was in a day trip, I joined the tour to get an overview about Malaga and I ended with a great lesson of the city history! The guides Luis and Mirian (or Medium?) were really nice!

“Very enjoyable; history heavy”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

We were in Malaga only for a day and decided on the walking tour. Despite being a tour heavy on history, our guide was able to keep it entertaining with his humour. Answered almost every one of the 1000 odd questions i asked, so definitely very patient, and knows his stuff. Even after the tour, i asked him a number of questions and he was very very patient even though it was getting close to 9 in the evening.

His dinner recommendations were absolutely brilliant. We went to the 2 places he mentioned, and loved them both, much better than the tapas we had tried elsewhere. Would definitely recommend.

Even though it was outdoors, and he did ensure that he was walking a fair distance ahead of us when needed, his smoking could be an issue for certain people. Wasn't really a problem for us and we enjoyed the tour.

“Great way to start off a stay in Malaga!”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

My friend and I were only in Malaga for a day, but we decided the best way to get to know the city was by a walking tour. Our guide was Medium and she was great! She was born in Malaga and clearly loved the city! She told us interesting things about Malaga and showed us all the main sites. I loved that our tour was mix of nationalities from all over the world! Medium's English was great and she even made it a more personal tour by being able to show where she was born. These kinds of things made the tour just a touch above the rest! Medium made it fun to be walking in the heat and I would absolutely return to this company for all their other cities!
