Just steps from most sights, the tourist Information office, transportation, the port, shopping, restaurants etc. The hotel was spotless and our room was large with a small balcony. We were on the 7th floor overlooking the city and a small street which was very quiet. It was perfect for our 7 days stay and close enough to everything to return to our room for a short rest before continuing our activities. The breakfast was excellent and included in the price of the room. Staff gave us their full attention when we needed something but otherwise seemed very business like which was fine. We did not have a reservation, just walked in and asked for a room for 7 nights. They originally thought they might not be able to accommodate us on one of the nights but worked it out so we could stay the whole time. They did boarding passes on their computer and called an early morning taxi for us to airport. They also provided a "picnic" on 2 mornings when we left before breakfast was served. Would definitely stay there next trip.

Room Tip: Ask for higher floor on a quiet side street.

I have been to almost every corner of this world and I booked this hotel for its location to travel with my elderly parents. I prefer a more local experience and the Don Curro delivered in every
aspect.

It has a fabulous location close to the Cathedral, great restaurants and tapas bars. The newly renovated harbour is within walking distance as well. The room was large and had a balcony.
We hope to return to Malaga just so we can revisit the Don Curro.

For the money paid this a great clean hotel right in the heart of Malaga city with all shopping, cathedral, Port etc.. pretty much on the doorstep, I had looked at and mulled over many options based on the reviews including the NH Malaga, AC Palacio, Molina Larios etc. (all double the price of the Don Curro!).. But settled on the Don Curro for the following factors 1. The price 2. The location 3. Breakfast included with the online price! Skip out of the hotel and you’re right on the main shopping street Calle Marques de Larios, Ten minute’s walk to the Port area which you must visit as there’s more shops and plenty restaurants down there and 10 minutes further on you’ll come to the beach. Nice clean rooms with LCD TV, Although, The british channels are very limited BBC world news, A fridge to put the supermarket beers in, Breakfast is a fairly simple continental affair with breads, meats, cheeses, cereals, fruit, yoghurts and a couple of hot options but you’ll certainly not struggle to fill up and served up until about 11ish, For a 3* star hotel right in Malaga city centre this is fantastic value and I would certainly recommend it!!

Booked this hotel through booking.com for 4 of us at a very reasonable rate for a city hotel. Reviews were good but in my experience that can sometimes be deceptive. However the hotel is fabulously located within walking distance of all the interesting sights of malaga and adjacent to very good restaurants and the main shopping area. The hotel itself provided us with a very large family room - which is in fact two seperate bedrooms divided by the bathroom area, anyway it was very big and very clean. The minibar was very good value for a hotel and the breakfast were quite good - lot's of interesting little pastries provided along with the usual plastic meats and cereals and a hot option of scrambled eggs and mini frankfurter type sausages. The staff were very efficient but not the friendliest we have encountered, but how and ever with the location you are not going to spend all that much time in hotel. Can't fault cleaning staff who came every day and left the room spotless. Would stay again and would recommend.

Room Tip: be mindful of asking advice from reception staff - we asked for directions to car museum which weren't correct also we asked was museum open on Monday's (as things are often places often closed on Monday in Spain and France) and we were assured it was open - when we eventually found the place (after 40 minutes driving around in circles - we finally found place to discover it is closed always on Mondays). Btw, we did get there two days later and it is very good value and if you are into cars then it is definitely worth the trip.
