“Refectorium - perfectorium!”
Reviewed October 29, 2012

Is Trip-Advisor always so short-sighted, not to mention the Refectorium in the top of the list? The Refectorium is just a perfect food and very friendly atmosphere - what would you value more in the restaurants? We enjoyed every minute in there, and that is - with two very active boys of 5 and 6 yo! Highly recommended and left with best memory about!

“First-class food in a first-class setting”
Reviewed September 1, 2012

This is a tremendous restaurant - the food delicious, well-cooked; the service friendly and well-judged; the atmosphere pleasantly busy. You need to book in advance for lunch; when you book, plan to eat late and plan to eat plenty. The numerous starters are excellent and tasty but the meat main courses stand out: the ox-tail and the steak are outstanding examples. Combined with an excellent, well-priced wine list, this bears all the hallmarks of a top restaurant.

“Great restaurant-but take a dictionary”
Reviewed June 22, 2012

This is a very popular restaurant with local families so reservations for dinner are adviseable. The effort is worth it as the food and ambience are truly local and te mainly fish dishes on offer are of a wide variety. The fish is very fresh and cooked to perfection. The restaurant is 5 minutes walk from MS Maestranza and close to the Bull Ring.

“Good food in authentic Spanish taps bar/restaurant”
Reviewed October 12, 2011

If you are staying at Hotel Maestranza walk around the back of the hotel to this good local eatery. We had delicious tapas at lunch when the bar was humming with regular patrons (all local workers), and were so impressed we went back to the restaurant section for dinner in the evening - also good - including fresh, beautifully grilled squid, and their equivalent of millefeuille (milhoja) is truly magnificent.
