“Good value”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2013

Hotel is a 10 min walk from the station and also a 10 min walk into the old town. We were given a room on the top floor but had a problem with noise due to something loose clanking in the wind. Complained to reception and were moved to a new floor with no issues. Rooms are an adequate size and have a free safe, wifi and soft drinks and water in the mini bar. En suite had two sinks and a bidet with a shower over the bath. We did not eat at all in the hotel as we wanted to sample the local restaurants. Lunch seems to be 12-4 and dinner 7.30 till late. But difficult to find food between these times. Would stay here again

This was a great city centre location and was just over the bridge from the old town yet little more than 10 minutes walk from the railway station. The staff were friendly and very helpful, both in the restaurant and breakfast area and at reception. The room (407), though not especially large, was more than adequate for our needs and the bathroom had a double sink, bath, shower and bidet. There was a free mini bar in the room which was kept stocked with water and fruit juice. There was also a free wi-fi connection.

Having been up very early on our arrival day, we decided to eat in the restaurant on our first night and the food was both plentiful and of excellent quality. The breakfast room also displayed a superb choice of both hot and cold food and you'd be hard pressed not to find something there to suit your taste.

My only criticism was the temperature of the bedroom - we had to have the window open all night as the noise from the traffic was preferable to being roasted alive! The air conditioning only seemed to blow hot air, even when turned to cold, which other reviews have pointed out. I ended up having to remove the mattress protector as well because it had a plastic backing and added to the overall heat!

I would be happy to recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: Try and avoid those very hot rooms which seemed to be at the front of the hotel.

Dear Guest:

Thank you very much for your comments.
About the clima/airco system, we have a technology that makes all the hotel hot or cold, during the spring season sometimes is dificult to regulate, anyway we are tryinf to find a solution in order to have a better system for the future.

Salles is an excellent place to spend your time in Malaga.
It is in a good location just over the bridge from the old town.
Clean & very spacey, the bathrooms are huge.
Had very little contact with the staff but they were polite & helpful when we did.
Breakfast is excellent & there is a wide choice though the coffee machine is extremely noisy.
The wi-fi is a bit iffy. It tends to go off on occasions but is mostly OK.
There are a couple of small shops directly opposite the hotel which is good for fruit, drinks, snacks, toiletries etc.
The bed was a little bit stiff for our tastes but obviously some may prefer that.
Very quite at night.
The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the train that brings you in from the airport.

Room Tip: Our room was at the back and was very quiet with a nice view of the cathedral.

The hotel is located in a good area for sightseeing around malaga. The service and the staff in the hotel are excellent. The breakfast was fine and normal for this region with a good selection and a hot cooked breakfast if preferred. There is a free mini bar in the rooms with soft drinks and free wi fi. The area around the hotel seems very safe with loads of people around. The train from the airport takes 11 minutes and cost around 1.50 euros. the last stop Centro Alemedia is near the hotel about 5 mins walk easy to find. The hotel is very clean and well kept although the restaurant opens at 8 o' clock each evening which was a little late for us but there are lots of good restaurants and tapas nearby. I would reccommend this hotel and return to stay here again.

Room Tip: Choose a room at the rear of the hotel as the rooms are very warm and the airconditioning is only se...

Great place to stay, central, clean and friendly staff. Towels were a little on the old side and the shower door needed to be resealed, and breakfast is not included but no complaints otherwise. The decor is fantastic with an array of 1950s kitsch furniture that just makes for a great unique hotel.

4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 24, 2013

We stayed for 3 nights on a city break. We checked in when we arrived , staff were very helpful . Our room was comfortable , instead of twin we had 2 single beds together, no bath but extra large shower. Hotel was a little dated but was very central for Malaga old town and all the sites. We hired a car for 1 day to visit Granada which cost €30 and was easily arranged. Hotel can book trips but they were booked out when we tried. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful and varied.
No pool in operation.
We got value for the money we paid.
