“ONE OF THE BEST!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2012

Hotel Salles is located in central Malaga and will cost around 20 Euros in a taxi from the airport. It is located 5 minutes walk from the historic old city with its many cafes, bars and restuarants.
The reception staff all speak fluent English and could'nt be more helpful - giving guest maps with places of interest circled. They will happily provide information on local amenities and information on public transport to the resorts of the Costa Del Sol. If you want to visit these resorts the railway station is around 10 minutes walk away and return tickets will cost around 4 Euros.
The rooms are to a high standard with huge walk in showers, sattelite TV and bedside/bathroom FM radios with speakers fitted into the ceiling. There are no tea/coffee making facilities but this is uncommon to find in Spain anyway.
There is a rooftop bar and small pool with stunning views across the city but it is only open from March to October. However no-one seems to object to guests sitting at the bar in the closed season with their own "refreshments!"
This is a great value hotel in a good central location which I would highly reccommend.

I spent two days here and I have never felt so relaxed or slept so well in a city hotel. The little rooftop pool area is a great spot to siesta the afternoon away. The reception staff are welcoming and the mood of the hotel is informal and relaxed.

We stayed again in the Malaga Centro for 1 night at the end of September when we were en route to Seville. We have used this hotel often in the past (the last time being January of this year) and it is suffice to that the excellent standard of comfort and service that we have received in the past still is maintained. Highly recommended.

Very nice hotel. Helpful staff and well placed for 5 minute stroll into shopping centre, or old town for bars and restaurants. Only problem was the pool area (seems common in city centre hotels with pools). Gets very busy and by 10am when it opened officially all the sunbeds were 'reserved' or taken. We were only there for two days but heard several complaints about this and saw a nasty argument that got physical between two Northern European couples (and they weren't German!). They need more sunbeds and need to stop people putting towels on beds before 10am.

Room Tip: If you are on room only and dont want to pay for a rip off breakfast there, turn right out of front...

Close to centre of Malaga for shopping and sightseeing. Parking at back of hotel in secure car park. Clean and comfortable. We didn't eat at the hotel as there are plenty of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The only negative for me was that there were no tea/coffee facilities in the room. Luckily I had a travel kettle and bought coffee, milk and mugs (.75cents) in the supermarket opposite the hotel. There was a note in the fridge saying that it was for use only for mini bar goods which is a bit petty, I ignored it anyway and put the milk in there.

We just stayed for one night. GPS had trouble finding the hotel. Hotel staff were extremely helpful navigating us over the phone.
Room was of good size, clean and comfy. Huge bathroom.
Most remarkable things: friendlieness of staff and delicious breakfeast buffet
