We stayed at the AC Hotel in Malaga. We never heard of them before hand but now we are sure to look for this small chain. The rooms were big and spacious. We had a nice balcony that faced the port. We had a mini bar that was stocked daily with free beer and water and snacks. The room had plush robes and slippers. The room had free wifi. The room had satellite TV with a few English language stations.

Staff was helpful and friendly. We needed a converter for our phones to charge and they lent us one.

The breakfast was very nice and large selection of food. It was a little expensive though. The prepared food was nothing special but they had large selection of fruits, breads, cheeses and meats. I think it is cheaper if you book your room with the breakfast included. We did not.

Parking was expensive. It was Valet only with in/out. There were a few nearby lots but I think they charged a little less and were not secured.

I would stay here again.

Stayed here for a long weekend whilst visiting family. The hotel is in a faultless location, on the park, next to the Cathedral, about 3/4 mile from the beach and on the edge of the old town and shops. The rooms are smart and well equipped, we stayed on the 10th floor round the side meaning view across to the harbour, the city and the Cathedral from the balcony. The staff were exceptionally efficient and friendly and the food, both in the main restaurant and in the Atico was good. The roof terrace, swimming pool and bar were breathtaking with views that can only be bettered by the Parador, but that is located out of town. The only minor flaw were painfully slow lifts - not helpful with a Sister who has mobility issues - still the 190 steps did my fitness good. An absolute must if you want to be where it's at in Malaga and one I hope to return to soon!

Top location! - we stayed 4 nights and had a fantastic time, just a short stroll to the many tapas bars, restaurants, shops and sights of Malaga with the beach a 15 minute walk away; the rooftop with swimming pool/ restaurant/ bar is the real jewel in the crown; fantastic views over the port, the city or the Cathedral, which is just next door. We ventured up daily after exploring the city for a cooling dip or after dark for a cocktail. There was a modern flamenco group playing one evening - fantastic!

We had a standard room which was modern, clean, spacious and serviced daily - good aircon.

A couple of things which stopped an excellent score would be; no free wifi in the room (€5 per day) you can get free wifi in the public area but have to ask for a code 3/4 times a day; lack of coat hangers in the room; for us British there is no kettle in the room - we took our own; there was a damp smell in the reception area (not bad) and seemed to get better on the last day?; the lifts were very frustrating, three very small lifts that seemed to have a mind of their own, we waited over 10 minutes one morning - I think they need reprogramming or at least a stern talking too!

A city stay in Malaga is strong competition to Barcelona.

Room Tip: we had a standard room, I would suggest the higher the better for the view.

Dear guest,

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments with future clients.

We are very sorry about wifi issue. The reason we frequently change the codes for the free wifi is mainly because of security.

Concerning kettle in the room, we have coffee and tea facilities for an extra fee, or we can provide only the kettle free of charge.

You’re a valued customer; everything we do is aimed at providing you with an excellent hotel experience. We would like to regain your trust and hope to serve you again in the future.

We stayed at this Marriott property for only one day after taking a cruise to the western Mediterranean. The view from our room was breathtaking. We overlooked the harbor and could see our cruise ship setting sail. The restaurant was at the top of the hotel. Great views of the city and great food. Also, the hotel was situated within walking distance of many area attractions and great restaurants. I just wish we stayed longer. Next time we will!

Room Tip: Make sure that you get a room on a higher floor, facing the bay.

This hotel is right on the edge of the central pedestrian area, next to the cathedral, so good access to bars & restaurants, its also a short walk to the marina.
Hotel is comfortable, rooms are spacious with views across the marina if on the front side.
The roof area has bar / restaurant area, but the main attraction are the spectacular views across Malaga.
Breakfast was good quality, but quite expensive. Staff mostly friendly and courteous.
We didn't use the restaurant other than breakfast, as there are so many tapas bars and restaurants within a short walk of the hotel.
Would stay here again if returning to Malaga

Stayed for 10 days.Second time at this hotel. Room is average size. Entire staff was inconsistent, cleaning staff was hit and miss but they were friendly. Front desk staff- also hit and miss, some more surly than others. Really not too helpful. Doorman staff was also hit and miss, some could barely be bothered holding the door open for you, while the younger man with curly hair at least tried to smile. The breakfast buffet was ample-a lot of bread products and sweets. The staff in breakfast room never smiled or greeted you, except for the gal who took our room number. Wifi in room was terrible- so don't plan to use for business, had to renew the passcode every 72 hours which was a hassle. The lobby gets busy as well as the elevators during certain times of day. (There is a side elevator to the right you can also use.) (Lots of parties/events take place in hotel.) Getting into and out of shower can be slippery and difficult because of height of bath and all marble floors. Malaga is a noisy and touristy city, but this is the best all purpose hotel to stay near center. It is also a bonus to have the taxi queue right in front. Many buses stop right across street. The best thing it has going for it is location.

Room Tip: rooms facing sea are not as noisy at night as compared to the rooms facing street, both have lovely...

Perfectly located close to the cathedral in Malaga with fabulous views from the rooftop terrace. Room a lovely size with all amenities and the pool and rooftop bar are brilliant. Especially as a bottle of wine was only 10€! Breakfast is a good selection and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Can't fault it.
