“I loved it! Enthousiasm of the owner is inspiring.”
Reviewed June 6, 2013

This small museum in an old and atmospheric house is a gem. You have to ring the door bell to get in and it does help when you speak a few words of Spanish since the lady who owns this places gets excited and starts telling everything and anything you ever wanted to know about dollhouses, miniatures, architecture and decoration through the ages, which she tends to do in rapid Spanish... no worries upstares you will find lots of information in English if you didn't quite understand what she was talking about and didn't bring your own interpreter. Her enthousiasm is contagious and you get to see so much, so wonderful and so well kept! It's nostalgic, every visitor will recognize some toy or another in the collection. Recommandable!

“Quirky”
Reviewed May 13, 2013

Tucked away in a street leading into the Plaza de la Merced, this museum is housed in an old Malagueño building, which itself is worth viewing. The collection itself is eclectic and quirky, and has many fine examples of toys obviously once treasured by their owners.

“An Overlooked Museum”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

This museum has very few visitors, which is a pity because it is a different type of museum showing doll houses and their furnishings over the ages. One can learn very much by looking at these doll houses and this is not just for doll fanciers. It is really a wonderful museum

“Do not miss it: It shows the S.XIX customs for Southern Spain”
Reviewed June 27, 2012

You cannot miss this museum which shows in miniature the houses and way of living of people in S.XIX.

Just next to Picasso Museum, easy to visit, you will get a nice and real view about how people used to live in South Spain in S.XIX and XX. Dressing, forniture, and houses, through small replicas.

It also shown small houses built secretely inside wardroves during the Spanish war.

Very nice and curious place to visit

“Lovely collection of Doll Houses and Dolls.”
Reviewed April 25, 2012

The museum was a lovely private collection of doll houses and dolls from different parts of Spain and eras. They were lovely to see..but I did feel however that 5 Euros was quite a bit to pay for this Museum considering its only entrance level and second floor. You can see it in 20 minutes time unless you want to examine every piece etc.Nice to see but price wise I felt it was high compared to other museums and what they have to offer. If you enjoy seeing doll houses you will definately lover this then!
