“Quality Food, Pleasant Staff - worth a visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 8, 2014

A group of 4 of us recently visited here during a holiday to Malaga.
The staff were pleasant, friendly and accommodating.
The food was of a decent quality and the price was very reasonable.
Mixed tapas was good, but they could perhaps have a broader selection.

“Nice tapas and beer”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 19, 2013 via mobile

Stopped by here on a Sunday afternoon after just walking up to Gibralfaro and back down and wanted a snack before tackling Alcazaba next. This place was opposite the Alzacaba entrance and sat outside was a nice place to people watch. Had a couple of beers with olives and then tried the 9.9€ tapas selection which we shared between two of us. Tapas quality was very good. Better than expected. Enjoyed the stop there very much. Relaxing break before setting off on our sightseeing again.

“Thai inspired Tapas plate - not really for me”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 9, 2013

A modern, minimalist environment- I should imagine a cool refuge in the summer.

We tried the tapas degustation. We were surprised when it came as it was Thai inspired (no clue in the description on the board), with tapas in 'oriental spoons' including croquetas, potato wrapped prawns, patatas bravas, prawn fritter, pork slice.

A strange mix really with 3 items with Thai spices and 1 cheesy and 1 sage. Cant say it worked and it was rather too greasy.
Wine was decent. Service a bit over attentive for my taste.
Came to 40 euro, which was a little high for what it was, but it is in the tourist area.

In the end rather disappointing [and staff should have mentioned it was Thai inspired!]

“Very tasty tapas”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2013

We just wanted a lunchtime snack and stopped here to share their Tapas Special, 5 different tapas for 9.90 euros, very tasty but not a lot so you'll need more if you're hungry. Well worth a visit, we'd have gone back if we'd been staying longer. Good location near the Alcazaba.

“Our best yet in Malaga”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 31, 2013

This is our 3rd visit to Malaga and while the destination is tops, the food has been mediocre to date. Garum has thankfully changed our views of Malaga dining. The restaurant is situated over looking the Alcazaba. The decor is stylish and chic. The staff are helpful, but unobtrusive. Most importantly the tapas is top end quality. All of our choices hit the mark. We can recommend the mushrooms, tosta, potatoes and squid. And to round off a great night, the best mojitos ever. See you again soon.
