“Good stopover, close to airport”
Reviewed November 18, 2013

Very close to airport, unfortunately there is no courtesy bus and the location is a little complicated to get to. It was gone midnight when we picked up our hire car, so we were tired and it was dark but I had looked at googlemaps and printed off directions/maps as I knew from previous tripadvisor posters that it would be difficult. Basically you get onto the main road go up a junction, come back on yourselves and hope you take the right exit! We made it but my advice is to do your research.
(Some people had walked from the airport as it is very close but be mindful that it doesn’t have a proper footpath the whole way, again do your research especially if it will be dark when you arrive).

Once at the hotel the checking in was efficient and room was clean and tidy, a standard express type, perfect for a good nights sleep before continuing with our journey.

Breakfast was mayhem, perhaps if is not UK school holidays this may not be a problem

This would appear to be an Airport hotel, but is too far away to walk with suitcases (1 mile across moderately difficult route) yet taxi costs 15 - 20 euros. There is a bus service, but the bus frequently didn't stop. If looking for an airport hotel, would recommend something better value and just setting a taxi. The hotel from the outside is uninspiring concrete block next to a busy road and car hire lot.

There is no pool or facilities so hotel is ok for business.

Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was pretty uninspiring, but was reasonable value, not that there seemed to be much other choice near the hotel.

The rooms are typical Holiday Inn Express and were clean and comfortable at the standard expected for this chain of hotels. The rooms were well insulated from outside noise, but you could hear people in adjoining rooms.

Very pleased with hotel overall. We arrived very late. Very quick and efficient check in. The room we had was lovely and just down the hall on the ground floor. Clean and modern. Slept very well.
The breakfast was, as I had read before, mostly bread, not very fresh and not too nice but for the price we paid I didn't mind. My son enjoyed things so that was fine with me.
I booked this hotel as we were arriving very late, but now I know how close the resorts are to the airport I would spend the £20 euro minimum taxi cost to the hotel to get to where I am going instead.
I can understand why there is a minimum charge and do I believe during the daytime hours you can get a bus and get your money back at reception. But when you need this type of hotel (at night) there doesn't seem to be any help in getting to them. Shame, I along with others I wont stay again, but not because of hotel only because of getting to it. Otherwise ok hotel....

Room Tip: We stayed on ground floor quiet enough for us and easy access.

Very clean rooms , updated and comfortable . Close to airport , 8 minutes by taxi , the only thing missing is courtesy transportation to and from hotel. 15 Minute taxi ride to Malaga downtown shopping area.
Breakfast buffet type of dining facility , free breakfast , basic food like burgers and pizza if you got the cravings at night , restaurants close by offer delivery to the hotel.

The hotel is within walking distance of the hotel & in fact is easier to get to on foot compared to car. Literally, exit the arrivals door, take a left & walk down the sloe, keeping to the left-hand side by the retail outlets.

The hotel is very basic - there is no restaurant (just a breakfast buffet) & no extra facilities such as gym etc. but is ideal for accommodating day trips up & down the Costa del Sol & up into mountains.

There is a truck-stop restaurant next door which is surprisingly cheap.

Room Tip: The higher the better.

We hardly slept when we stayed as the air conditioning was noisy and we could hear music playing in another room through the wall which kept us awake all night. We were assigned a smoking room which smelt of cigarettes despite the fact that I booked a family room through Booking.com. When we arrived we decided not to complain as I had managed to carry one of our children to the room without waking her up, but I did not like them sleeping in a room which smelt like this. It's not very practical to walk to the airport from this hotel without walking along the hard shoulder of dual carriageway and then along a dirt track past some undergrowth so be prepared to pay €19 flat rate for an 800 meter cab ride. Otherwise the staff were nice and the hotel was generally clean. Fine if you need somewhere to stay up all night working or watching TV, but don't expect to get much sleep.

This hotel was closest to the airport though you need to take a cab there for 20 euro. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. Unfortunately it was very inefficiently soundproofed and you could hear what was going on outside, both inside and outside the hotel.
It is a okay place to stay when arriving late to Malaga.
