The family & I decided we wanted to see if we could spot a school of dolphins, which we'd heard would be possible by taking a trip around the coast. First off, the boat: very nice, a traditional sailing boat - none of us had been on a boat like this before, it was lovely once out on the open water. The captain was friendly, albeit his English language skill was somewhat limited. Everyone got offered a free beverage as part of the deal. Kids 10 and under are all free, so for the 4 of us the entire cost - for a 2-hour sail - was a very reasonable 60 Euros. The boat spent the first 30mins sailing out along the coast of Estepona, then started to go further out to sea for the next hour or so, and spent the last 30mins returning inland. We took the trip between 6pm-8pm, which we were glad to have done, as daytime temperatures would have been very uncomfortable when seated on the upper deck exposed to blazing sunshine. 6pm+ was perfect. Sadly (!), we were not lucky in choosing that time slot, as we all failed to spot any actual dolphins! But truthfully, we all still immensely enjoyed the time out on the waves in such a lovely sailing vessel. Definitely recommended.

Manolo and Augustine took 9 of us out for a sunset cruise last week (July 2012). They are very friendly and hospitable - we were in good hands. We are all friends from South Africa, living all over the world now - on a trip to Spain together to reconnect with each other. The Intrepido is a beautiful wooden yacht, white sails and very authentic. The evening was calm, warm and balmy with a little breeze - perfect for sailing. We took a cheese picnic and plenty of chilled white wine. Leaving the marina, the view from the ocean is beautiful - the coastline so pretty and we were a happy lot. To top of our evening a small pod of Common dolphins joined us and played around the boat and raced the starboard - even had a little baby with them. It was a wonderful evening, we had so much fun and would highly recommend this trip.
