The hotel is too far to walk to town and costs about 6 euros in taxi there and back! There is no local bus available!! Only town to town buses pass by, but the buses don't stop! There is not much atmosphere in reception areas, not much going on re entertainment! No English ITV channels or BBC1 to entertain you in room. Just news channels SKY, CNN On first evening we went to dine at 7pm and 1st in dining room. I went to get salad for a starter, and was horrified to find hundreds of flies all over the beetroot salad, I told the staff who told the chef after quite a few minutes it was removed and replaced! This made me feel sick and I continuously watched out for flies on the food every time we dined This spoiled my experience of the hotel as a whole!!! The room however was lovely and had a gorgeous view of sea and Gibraltar in background. Would not be back as nothing to do except sunbathe, you're snookered if it rains! Would be bored stiff! No bars to walk to or shops to buy beer for room! No kettle in room just fridge to put room service items in!

we spend for a second time within 3 years a few days here at the end of the season. for 61€ a night we got a large, quiet seaview room with two large beds and a balcony. it seems that all rooms in the h10 are large if not huge and have sea view. and our price even included half board. breakfast and dinner buffet have an impressive size though the individual quality of the food is pretty limited. but hey, it is 61€ for two people and for this it is super good value for money. if i would stay here in high season for around 150€ a night i guess this place would just meet my expectations and i would complain slightly about the noisy restaurant, the exactly same food every day on the buffets and a few more minor things. wifi worked very well in the room by the way and the gentleman at the reception was wonderful.

We stayed at the Estepona Palace for 7 nights in mid Oct The weather was really good .The hotel is all you would expect from a 4* holiday hotel .The views over to Gibraltar were amazing . The only down side to this hotel is the location ,It is a good twenty minutes walk along the beach( 30mins on the road) to any shops or bars .so if like us you enjoy a cuppa in your room its a long haul for supplies ,or a change for lunch ect. But it was a lovely walk .

Great beach side location with views across to Gibraltar which is c. 20 miles away. We had a very large and well appointed room with a balcony overlooking the pool area and beach. Hotel has a nice spa area. Food was generally of a high standard with sufficient variety (we stayed on a half board option). Friendly and helpful staff.

Estepona is a quiet resort and has an interesting Andalusian old quarter, The marina is c. 15 mins walk from the hotel and has a number of bars and restaurants, and the town centre is c.25 mins walk from the hotel. It's a €5 taxi to town if you don't fancy the walk. Worth considering day trips to see Gibraltar and Granada.

We stayed 9 nights in this hotel and it was most definitely an enjoyable experience. We were greeted at reception in a professional and courteous manner and offered a chilled glass of cava each - nice touch! We had a lovely room with a well furnished balcony (including a sun lounger) on the top floor with great views of the sea and pools. There are several pools situated around lovely gardens with private access to the beach. The pool areas had 2 lifeguards on duty every day, plenty of sun loungers and poolside games. The beach wasn't great, sand is very gritty and unfortunately due to storms the previous week, there was a lot of debris both in the sea and on the sand, also there were notices warning of jellyfish in the water so swimming was not really an option. Breakfast buffet was fantastic, plenty of fresh fruit, cold meats, cheeses, eggs cooked to your preference, toasted ham and cheese sandwiches, bacon etc., it would take a very fussy eater not to be able to find something suitable. We also sampled the dinner buffet on a couple of occasions and again the food was plentiful, delicious and great value at €22 per person. The hotel is a little way outside Estepona Centro but taxis, ordered for us at reception every time (at no extra charge) only cost €5 each trip. Apart from reception, the staff speak very little English, however, they were all pleasant and professional. The only quibble we had was that drinks at the hotel bar were quite expensive, and the hotel shop, charged €2.80 for a 1.5 litre bottle of water which sells in the supermarket for less than €1. This said, we had a fantastic holiday, the Estepona Palace Hotel well deserves it's 4* rating. It is beautifully maintained both outside and inside and we would definitely make a return visit.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the top floor with sea views
