If you are looking for somewhere to unwind then this apartment in El Faro is the place for you. Its spotless and so well equiped. Sue who greets you is so easy to get on with and the welcome pack is something you don't get everywhere you stay. The location is brilliant and the apartment very quiet. Can't wait to go back.

We spent a lovely week touring around the Costa del Sol and the apartment at El Faro made it all the better, with everything easily to hand. The apartment is immaculately presented and fully equipped to a high standard. The rooms are spacious and it was great waking on a morning looking over the pool to the lighthouse, which was silhouetted by the autumn sun rise. The sun shines directly onto the balcony and into the apartment and stays with you until early afternoon. The secure underground car park was a boon as finding a free parking space in Estepona, especially around the marina where the apartment is, can be difficult and the alternatives are usually pay and display. There are lots of places to eat at the marina and the apartment is handy for the many restaurants and bars in the old town centre based around the Plaza de Flores which is an easy ten minute stroll away. Check out Madhu Bar/Restaurant (Plaza de Dr Arce, behind the plaza de Flores) for superb steak and fish; and Bar Vitin with outlets in Plaza del Flores and at the marina for coffee, breakfasts, ice cream etc. The apartment is also handy for the motorway (autopista), which means if you fancy a trip to Gibraltar, Marbella, Ronda or even further away at Cordoba, Seville, Jerez etc you are quickly out of town and on your way. Although the Autopista is a toll road, we preferred to pay the toll and have the road to ourselves, rather than fight with everyone else on the old coastal motorway, which is well past its sell by date and in my opinion, dangerous. We could enjoy doing a long trip safe in the knowledge that there was a powerful shower awaiting our return and very comfy beds guaranteeing a good night's sleep.

Excellent accommodation in a great location. The apartment was spotless and very well equipped, within 200m of a blue flag beach and on the edge of the marina.

We have just returned from a fabulous time in El Faro Apartments. The apartment was one of the best we've stayed in. It is spacious, spotlessly clean, well furnished and comfortable. The location is brilliant, being so close to a huge variety of bars and restaurants in the marina area, and the enormous beach is just a 2 minute walk away. Just a pleasant 10 minute walk along the promenade into the town will take you to the picturesque old part of the town where you can find cosy secluded squares to enjoy a cold drink and meal and watch the world go by. For the teenagers, there's the night time concerts and entertainment on the promenade, or, the favourite haunt for our two, the ice cream parlours across the way. If exploring the area is also of interest, Estepona is ideally placed to visit Gibraltar, Marbella and many pretty villages. Our only niggle, and it is just a minor point, is the pool area being closed from 3 to 5pm, just when you want to jump into it after a day out exploring. We would definitely recommend El Faro apartments and return in the future.

Our 21 day trip started with the flight from Canada to Iceland then spent the night in Holland I was a little leary of booking a condo on line however we booked a winner, Carl was very gracious and gave as much information as he could provide. The Apartment is located in the Estepona Harbour and there is lots of activity. 1st the apartment was a pleasent surprise clean and nicely decorated. The people in the area are mostly English and also very pleasent. The weather wasn't so hot but we could still walk around with T's on. The local bus was free to take to the downtown area however it's not a long walk and is nice to take the stroll. Across from the apartment there is a bull ring which is now a museum. The bars in the Harbour are also good a little more expensive than in the town but the food was good. There is a little bakery downstairs from the hotel which sell pastries and fresh bread daily (Yummy). There is also busses from downtown that will take you to Gibraltor this was a great trip that we made on William & Kates Wedding day and they were also celebrating in Lord Nelsons bar. Round trip was about 15.00 Euros could be less I really don't remember but worth it. We also mfrequented Cristol Beach a walk from the apartment but was much nicer than the beach from the Boulavard and the bar there makes some meaaaan drinks (after 2 a don't remember leaving and my girlfriend got burnt to a crisp) When we were getting ready to leave for Holland Carls cleaning Lady came to return our deposit and advised that Carl was staying in his other apartment we would have liked to meet up with him (maybe next time).
