we visited this pub most days from the 29th oct 2012 to 6th nov 2012, warm welcolm as we arrived, the staff were lovely and really friendly, the pub is very comfortable and the food, well what can i say its absolutely amazing and fantastic value for money

The bar has sky sports on the tv''s all around the pub and our 6 year old was kept entertained in the kids room.

I cant wait for next year when we go back,

Well done to all the staff that work there

We visited the Auld Dubliner on the second day of our holiday for breakfast. The Crowne Plaza opposite was charging €18 for breakfast, so we decided to try the Auld Dubliner. The breakfast was excellent. Really good quality bacon, well cooked eggs, beans, black pudding, white pudding and an actual crispy Hash Brown. A bargain at about €10 each, including two milky coffees. We vowed to return each day.

The next day we had a change of order. Eggs on Toast, with two rashers of bacon for one and toasted bacon sandwich. The cost of this, including two coffees was €13.50. The service was significantly less friendly on day two and at the time of paying the check became frosty. We had no Euros, so tried to pay by card. They had a €15 minimum. There is no cash machine nearby. The sensible solution would have been to allow us to pay but tell us that in future could we note the €15 minimum. They chose instead to make us buy another coffee. They gained €1.50 and lost us as customers for the rest of the week. The cafe next door provided a perfectly good breakfast the following day, slightly cheaper and good quality. I would not recommend using a restaurant that seeks to exploit their customers like this. They lost a weeks worth of breakfasts in the interests of insisting on a petty rule.
