Visited this hotel and have to say it is a hotel not apartments like most places in Spain . Spotless rooms / spotless pool sun beds and any area I visited was honestly spotless toilets everywhere spotlessly clean . Only ever ate at pool bar which was ok for a snack drinking very reasonable prices €2.50 for a bottle of beer or a glass of wine . It would be very good for families with 4-10 year old our children are 12 just a little too old for the activities. It has loads of mini discos and activities in the pool 5 days a week music loud but not over the top . Sun beds are nearly always available but people put towels down at 10am and mightn’t come back till later but you will always get one or two somewhere . The staff are very friendly and I was recovering from a broken ankle and didn’t ask but the girl at check it spotted it and straight away put us next to everything and changed our room without asking . Parking was very busy and sometimes had to park on street not a big issue as always close by . Rooms only cleaned ever 5 days which nearly had this at 3 star only because of towels but got used to it . Staff got it up to a 4 . Would we stay here again NO just it wasn’t the kinda place we would stay but I gave it 4 stars because I wouldn’t want to put people off, reason families with small kids a must , couples I would have to say a no older kids a no . Loads of Spanish holidays makers all very well behaved just not for us but not a bad holiday . LASTLY YOU WILL 100% NEED A CAR unless you have €200/€300 to spend going in and out of town to restaurants . It’s cost on the one time we got a taxi €30 to port and €20 from center back to hotel . Review based on 9 nights 10 days 2 + 2 aged 12/12 sisters .

Good location, but only if you have a car. Only 15 minutes away from Puerto Banus. Nice pool area and the rooms are adequate. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Only ate in the restaurant once, as the buffet wasn't very appertising

Pierre et Vacances offers relatively cheap appartments, however still between €100-€150 per night.
We have such an appartment with a family of 4, 2 adults, 2 teens, but will leave a day earlier, as our back will be broken and we will be happy to return home early.
Absolutely disappointing to actually see the appartment and hotel - the pics & impression from the website were very misleading. Really basic appartment!
Sofa bed in the living room for the teens. 2P bed for the adults - extremely hard though. Water from shower takes 5 mins to get warm with a very low volume.
Appartment was clean upon arrival, the cooking facilities are a joke however. 2x infrared burner, non-functioning extractor hood.
The hotel swimming pool is very crowded and too small for the many guests of this hotel. When we tried the swimming pool first day immediately after our late afternoon arrival several sunbeds had beer glasses (plastic) below them and the place smelled like a tavern after a football match.

Last night we and many others woke from the fire alarm at 01:30. No explanation from anybody, just loud bells and all the guests looking outside their doors what is going on with a wondering Pierre et Vacances staff employee roaming the corridors looking at the door numbers.
What a disaster in case a real fire or other emergency would occur!

Most astonishing was that today the door to our room was left open by the cleaning crew that had changed our linen. We were to the beach, like the day before as we do not fancy the pool.
Upon our arrival tonight the door was slightly ajar!
Luckily nothing seems to be missing.
We went to inform reception - they offered no apologies whatsoever (did you perhaps leave it open yourselves) and management is not available - come back Monday after 10am.

We will be long gone by then however and will never come back.
You should not even consider going there!

Dear Mr. Maartense,

First of all, we want to thank you for the time invested to transmit your comments, as well as your experience in the establishment.

We wanted to inform you that your reservation was made on Expedia, in which you booked a 1 bedroom apartment, clearly specified that the third and fourth person were sleeping on a sofa bed. Obviously, there is an option to book a 2 bedroom apartment, which you did not choose when you make your reservation.

As you informed us at your arrival, you will left a day earlier, but these reservations through Expedia/Booking must be notified to Expedia to claim some kind of refund.

Normally the extractor hood will not be in operation if it is not removed completely.

Regarding the noise disturbance, please accept my sincere apologies.

When the fire alarms sound, the staff has some guidelines to follow, detect the problem and confirm that it is a false alarm. Fortunately, it was a false alarm so it is not necessary in these cases to notify customers. If that is true, that when in doubt, we have reassured those customers who call to reception. The team of Pierre & Vacances Estepona, is formed every year with courses to act in case of real fire.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the disappointing aspects of your stay, and inform you that we will transmit your comments to our departments for follow-up, and as we said on Saturday night, as the head of reception is not present, we offer you again to spoke with him, if you want to add something more to these comments.

Greetings,

The team of Pierre & Vacances Estepona

We arrived yesterday 25th July and was pleased with what we saw, we had a pleasant time at reception but when we got to our room we had a view of the considerable building work going on nearby, we returned to reception and the girl there ,Zaria was fantastic and helped move us to a room overlooking the pool on the ground floor , as we had 2 apartments booked for our daughter her husband and 2 grandchildren and she moved them too it was so good of her and I’m sure will help make our holiday so much better, superb service thanks Zarina !

After reading reviews I took the advice and booked a hire car. Found the hotel late at night quite easily. Greeted by a very helpful gentleman who was working on reception that evening.
We used the car everyday, Puerto Banus is only a 10 minute drive away. There is 2 supermarkets approx 5 minutes in the car. And we discovered a really good kids soft play area “Mundo mania” only about 5 minutes away by car
The pool area was lovely. Never too busy that you couldn’t get a lounger. They had daily programmes of aqua aerobics on at the pool, this was very popular even my kids and husband joined in.
We only ate in the restaurant once perhaps the food wasn’t to our usual tastes and my kids are picky eaters so glad we had chosen the self catering option.
Rooms were spacious and had a good sized balcony we had booked the 2 bedroom option and it also had 2 full sized bathrooms.
The only downside and this may seem a little tedious, but the children’s entertainment started very late at night. I appreciate they are trying to accommodate football but most nights there was no
More than a handful of people watching it and the bar was just full of kids running around waiting for the mini disco to start. On 2 occasions when the football went into extra time it meant mini disco
didn’t come on til nearly 11 o’clock at night. This isn’t ideal when you have a tired 2 and 4 year old who are refusing to go to bed until they have been to
“Their party”.
Overall we had a great family holiday for the price we paid. Would definitely recommend hiring a car as this made a huge difference.
