“WOW!!!”
Reviewed March 16, 2013

An incredible location, within 1 hour of the coast and easy to access. The King's Walk ( Caminito del Rey ) is an amazing piece of engineering, partially built into the rock face, leading to the wooden bridge over "The Spurt ", where the gorge narrows above the dam. A small cafe at the roadside, heading toward the lakes, serves a basic but enjoyable " Spanish Menu ", or cross the river and visit the restuarant near the railway station for a full meal from a more extensive menu. Be sure to drive north beyond The Spurt and follow the signs for the mirador for amazing views. ENJOY!!!! Please note there are no facilities at the mirador.

“Amazing!”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

Amazing location!
Parked near the campsite and walked up very close to the El Camito del ray on a very hot day.
Beautiful church along walk. If you view from your car from the other side you are missing out.

Had a well deserved drink in the bar hotel near the train station and had amazing views from the balcony.
If your not into walking maybe not for you but can be viewed from the car.

“beautiful and peaceful”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

This was a wonderful day out. Lots of walking but such a beautiful peaceful place. It was accessible by train and car. El Chorro is a small village near to the town of Álora. We didnt do it because of the time factor, but you can walk a dangerous path called Caminito del Rey (King's little pathway). The sign for it said it takes about 5 hours. We walked along by the water and along the pathway, lots of photo opportunities. We stopped at a bar along the way that served food as well as drinks. The gorge is so beautiful. well worth the visit.

“Camino del Rey”
Reviewed September 14, 2012

wonderful attraction just inland from Malaga - about 55 kms. Stayed in a delighted apartment hotel in Ardales and visited Camino del Ray which is situated in a spectacular hydro area on Andalucia. A real taste of Spain, great food, great scenery and just over an hour from the coast.

“El Chorrro Gorgeous!!”
Reviewed August 17, 2012

The gorge can be reached by driving through the town and is famous for the El camino del rey which although crumbling away is stil traversed by some brave but well equiped souls!! The view of the gorge is amazing and after we ate in a little restaurant just opposite called El Pilar which has bouganvilla and grape covered terrace and friendly staff but great chips and coffee!!!
