We enjoyed two nights at the Monasterio San Miguel, recommended by friends, and found it to be a very good choice. As with most hotels in Spain it is relatively easy to find (the usual sign posts from the main Cadiz/Sevilla road) and, although located on a narrow street, has an unloading area and, even more importantly, it's own underground garage. The reception area is attractive and check-in well-organized. Rooms are spacious and well-lit, with large bathrooms and a good selection of amenities. My wife had an enjoyable dinner at the hotel restaurant; however the coffee shop had a better selection for breakfast during our stay.
The building itself has been very tastefully restored, and is itself of great interest. The weather and season didn't encourage use of the garden and patio (very attractive) or the pool.
All in all, a very good base for exploring the region (as long as high season is avoided...)More
