We spent two weeks in Cadiz in August. The first night we had arrive late and popped over the road to what was our nearest restaurant. We had a quick meal and a bottle of local white wine from the friendly waiter who spoke very little English but I speak some Spanish so no problem. We enjoyed the meal and the friendly service and resolved to return. Having sample some to the fare in the Old Town we decided to return home and just share a bottle of the same tasty white wine (Tierra Blanca) at the the restaurant. The same friendly waiter was happy to serve us just wine but then the proprietor came over to ensure the waiter had been correct in assessment of our needs. He was just making sure and then produced some tapas as accompaniment. We came on two more occasions, each time being treated as important and valued customers. We tried a range of food, and our host left us in no doubt that our comport and enjoyment were of the utmost importance to him. We sampled a range of dishes from shoulder of lamb(trad style, delicious but a little pricey) to single servings of tapas (great value) Our host we noted also was constantly watching out to ensure all the guests were being served and did so in an unintrusive way. Singles reading a book, couples and family groups were all welcomed and looked after very well. If you don't speak Spanish the prop has a fair bit of english but anyway they are happy to show you the dishes inside for you to choose. this place really helped us enjoy our visit and was much better value than the Old Town.

I went to this restaurant after a day at the beach in Cadiz. It is very close to Playa Victoria and the Playa Victoria Hotel, just one block in from the beach. Sitting outside at the restaurant, the atmosphere is not the best. It is on a busy street across from a gas station. It was a little change from the beach views. Being one block in from the beach also means you pay a reasonable price as you are not paying for the view.

The owner was very nice and attentive. He spoke English as well. The dishes served were basic but very good. I had a calamari pan fried whole with a green salad and a white bean salad. All was very good. I also had a half bottle of local white wine that was very good. The cost for my dinner, half bottle of wine and a small beer was 18.50€ which was great value for the food I received.
