“Fabulous museum - highlights were the Phonecian artefacts and the modern Cadiz paintings”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 20, 2013

We visited this museum on a wet February day. We received a warm welcome from the staff. The museum is free, which is a pleasant surprise and halleluja, it is free of hordes of tourists. The Phonecian section was fascinating and we particularly enjoyed the section showing (relatively) modern painters from Cadiz. A lovely museum and well worth a visit.

It´s amazing museum about worlds history especially about Romans culture, you can find there many interesting thing and learn new knowledges about them , how they lived, what they were doing etc..
There was so many statues and well presented things(old dishes,money,vases..) , which they were using during their era.
The main theme was ,how cadiz could be one of romans partes

“Well worth seeing!”

The bottom floor of the museum does a very good job in outlining the history of the region. It also contains interesting archeological findings, such as the two "stars" of the museum--the Phoenician sarcophegi.
There is a robust collection of paintings and other art on different floors.

This is a great collection, well presented and interesting. Lots of Roman jewellery , which I found interesting and the history of Cadiz was really well put together.
