Look the Tapas was great, beer good, wine good, service brilliant. But the smell of the hams (complete with feet) hanging from the ceiling kept king me gag! You can't even escape it outside!

My favourite bar during our stay. Totally bemused by the bad reviews as we had lovely service. The fried potatoes with all the plates was a great freeby! And the jamons hanging over the bar is pretty much why I go to Spain as it tastes sublime. Maybe we were just lucky?

The restaurant area is at the back of the venue and we chose to eat outside as there was a bit of heavy smell inside from the hanging jamons. Actually it was not a bad choice to stay outside and watch the thoroughfare passing by. The tables outside were small, but we used the additional bar behind us to spread the multiple plates. All the meals were very well cooked and delivered, especially the hearty local stews. The service was quick and kind, speaking English which rare there. Well deserve a visit. Avoid the fresh salads as they are nothing special.

We went here on the basis of its ranking at number 6 but what a disappointment it turned out to be... but we can only speak of our experience in the restaurant and not the tapas bar. The waiter behaved in disinterested fashion especially after we declined his recommendation of a 37 euro bottle of wine for a 13 euro one. Our starters were fine... salmorejo (a sort-of gazpacho) and puchero (a mint soup with ham and boiled egg). Of the main courses, the wild boar was basic but the tuna encebollada was inedible..either not fresh or over-cooked because it was dry and hard and the worst ever from a region that counts tuna as one of its specialities. The waiter brought the menu for re-ordering. When asked if the swordfish is fresh, it was suggested that merluza (hake) would be better so we concluded 'not fresh' so accepted. The hake, whilst fresh and tasty, the veg was disgusting... tinned, barely warm and undrained. At this, we wanted out so we made our displeasure clear and requested the bill which came with no apology for the disasters and an extra 4 euros for the higher priced hake. We gave not a centimo tip for this disastrous experience and left amazed
that this place could have scored 6th of Cadiz restaurants especially upon looking more closely, we found very patchy comments... some equally as critical as ourselves.

Recently visited this restaurant with friends and was impressed by the service and atmosphere. I would recommend having a bottle of wine and having some tapas whilst watching the world go by.
