Fantastic service and wonderful location. Delicious breakfast too. 51 and 52 both have terraces with wonderful views, 51 is quite small though so if thats important for you then rather stay on a lower floor. I would go back any time!

I read a few of the badder reviews on here and have to say some people are picky. This hotel is friendly, brilliantly-located for exploring the beautiful old town of Cadiz, has clean rooms with modern bathroms, a good breakfast buffet, wifi works well. Yes, as soom reviewers have said, rooms are not on the large side. But if you want an Intercontinental then stay in an Intercontinental - if you want a clean, friendly hotel that will allow you to explre Cadiz easily then this is great value for money.

Room Tip: Probably is worth paying more for the attic roooms with private terrace.

Go for their Atico 52 on the top floor and you won't be disappointed. It is the right place to stay to discover old Cadiz.

You will be able to enjoy the best views from your terrace while having breakfast. Yes, the staff was so kind to even bring room breakfast every morning during our 4 night stay.

The room, although being small, is new and with all the comforts. The reason to stay, is the huge terrace with views onto the cathedral. Enjoy it!

Room Tip: Atico 52 is worthwhile the extra cost

This is my first 5 star review and this hotel well and truly deserves it. It's a relatively small boutique hotel right in the heart of Cadiz. I booked in here because I wanted somewhere close to the local bars and restaurants and also within walking distance to the port, where I was working. The location fitted the bill perfectly. The stunning cathedral is just a stones throw away and the choice on your doorstep of places to go eat and drink is impressive.

On arrival, the hotel receptionist was welcoming, spoke very good English and was incredibly knowledgeable about the local area, helpfully recommending places to go. The room was small but clean and well appointed. The bathroom was rather spacious and had one of the most powerful showers I've ever used, with instant hot water. The continental breakfast was very tasty and the coffee was some of the best I've had. To top it all the WiFi was free and I was getting speeds well over 10Mb. The icing on the cake was the price, with the room rates being far lower than some of the larger hotels in the area. If you're in Cadiz for business or pleasure and stay here, you won't be disappointed.

Very good service and perfect location. Our room was clean and comfortable, with fast WI FI. We stayed in room 12 right above the reception, but it was not loud or dark. As my husband was so tall, they offered us this room, which is bigger than the newer ones on upper floors. Breakfast buffet was simple, but good quality of products, with excellent coffee and fresh-squeezed orange juice. Don't miss the original argentine caramel sauce for breakfast :-) If driving, park at the train station, it costs half as much as the Canalejas carpark and it's only about a 5' minute walk to the hotel. Overall, a very postive experience for us. Definitely worth it!

I stayed at the The Patagonia Sur for three nights in Octobar 2012. It's a very nice boutique hotel in the middle of the old town of Cadiz. It is not an ostentatious hotel, but you don't miss anything either; everything just works. The people in the reception and the breakfast lounge were very nice.

The room was bright and amply sized, with everything you'd expect. The bathroom was just big enough. Like most hotel rooms in Spain it has a bathtub instead of a shower stall, but this one actually has sliding doors that close along the entire length of the tub, so the bathroom floor is still dry when you're done showering. This is also the first hotel I've encountered that has contactless key cards, so they must be at the forefront of development.

The breakfast lounge was small and cozy but I never saw more than a couple of tables occupied at any one time. The food selection was simple, but the food was also freshly made and very good, and they'll make you a real espresso if you like.

The location of the hotel is excellent. It's a one minute walk to the plaza with the cathedral, and there are numerous restaurants only a short walk away. You can also walk to the north-eastern or south-western shore line in under five minutes.

I greatly enjoyed my stay here, and I can thoroughly recommend the Patagonia Sur. If I go back to Cadiz this is where I want to stay.

I spent 3 nights at this hotel - a short walk from the station and a relief from the rain in Jerez. Staff friendly and helpful as I arrived well before check-in time. Room 34 was compact, but for a single traveller, this was no problem. Modern and clean. Great location. Would love to return, as Cadiz is a great place and have a room on the top floor with a small patio.
