We booked a junior suite for a couple of nights and couldn’t have been happier. The hotel is centrally placed for exploring Cordoba on foot, plus it’s superb quality for an official 2 star rating – it shows us that star ratings need to be overhauled – sure, have a rating based on facilities if you want, but we think many travellers would appreciate a rating system just for quality. The overall quality here would shame many so called 4 star hotels that get the rating just because they have a night receptionist or similar. And the top floor honesty bar plus roof top terrace is a real bonus. If you want a coffee, the pods used in the machine here knock spots off the Nespresso stuff we have at home – wish we’d recorded the name so we could look out for the brand. If you’re driving, reserve a parking space and follow the instructions that you can get from the hotel to navigate the complex narrow and often one way old town streets. When you arrive a member of staff will drive you to the hotel’s own car parks – if you’re in a small car that’s just a short 50 metres reverse back up Carpe Diem’s one way road. In our opinion, this hotel definitely deserves its high ranking on TripAdvisor and we’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

Very nice, new rooms, clean, in the old center and very friendy staff. All for a very low price. Also great is the roof terras where you can get your own drinks from the bar, and pay them later when you check out. Wonderfull wines!

Just a few minutes stroll from the Meqzuita in a quiet narrow street, this proved to be a great place to stay. The staff were delightful and friendly and the service quiet and efficient. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the buffet breakfast was fine. The gift of a bottle of wine on departure was a nice touch.

We loved this hotel. It is in a wonderful location that is an easy walk to the main sights in Córdoba. There is parking available ( for an extra charge). Check in was fast and easy. The receptionist was very nice and informative - can't recall her name but she was born in Hungary and had been in Córdoba for 5 years. Our room was quite spacious with a sofa, desk and chair. Breakfast was fine. There was a large variety of items - something for everyone. The rooftop bar was an added plus. All drinks were quite reasonable and the setting was quite nice. We took the 8 Euro walking tour with Pilar and it was great! We saw areas that we would would have missed for sure. Thank you Carpe Diem Hotel for providing a terrific tour and a great stay in Córdoba!

We stayed at this hotel for three nights. The location is excellent as it is in the old quarter within a few minutes walking distance to the Mezquita and Alcazar. It is within 20 minutes walking distance to all other sights you may want to see such as the Palace of Viana. There are lots of bars and restaurants in the area as well.
The hotel room itself is simple but very clean. The bathroom shower was great with a rain head shower head. The hotel has a nice rooftop patio with a self service bar where you can get reasonably priced drinks including pop, water, beer, wine, champagne as well as various spirits.
The hotel staff was nice and the price of the hotel is quite good for the area. The hotel staff spoke English quite well.
I did not have the breakfast so I cannot comment on that. Overall good value for your money for a simple, clean, and safe place to stay.
