They are doing extensive building work in the area and the hotel is located in a pedestrian area. But you can gain access by car. Follow all signs to the MESQUITA and drive up to the metal bollard in the middle of the road, to the left there is a 'speaker unit', push the button and say the name of the hotel and some-one will 'retract' the bollard allowing you to drive through. DO NOT wait for some-one else to do this and think you will have time to follow them through. We actually saw the consequences of this and the car was a right off!! The breakfast was more than adequate, anything from cheese and ham to croissants and fresh fruit and yogurt.
The hotel itself is lovely and you can feel the history seeping through the walls. The staff are very friendly and the guy on reception was so helpful. We expected the hotel to be near the Mosque but were amazed to find it immediately outside the hotel doors. The hotel also supplied city maps with the location of all the main sites shown on it for free and in our room there was an information pack giving opening times and entrance fees which was very useful. Cordoba is very 'bite sized' everything is within easy walking distance. There are many good restaurants and loads of tapas bars. We would stay at the same hotel again even though our room was a little 'snug' (209) but very comfortable if a little dark but 201 is large and 202 is good too. Outside of Cordoba there are ruins of a large Alcazar called the Medina Azahara which they are working so the main building, the beautiful palace is closed!

If you are looking for a charming small hotel, right next to the Mezquita, this could easily be your place. The rooms were nice and absolutely spotless. The lobby was very nice and there is a charming center courtyard. We thought the location could not have been better. We also got great service and advice from the front desk staff, whenever we asked. The breakfast was, also, quite good. We would be happy to come back.

This hotel is a hidden gem. It doesn't say anything in the outside but when you enter it has a beautiful, rustic interiors. The location can not be beaten. you are across the mosque and next to the roman bridge. Very nice and quiet spot but you can walk everywhere. I highly recomend this hotel. It was also a great value. The staff was very friendly. I don't know why is not recomended in the travel guides...it should!!

A great hotel directly opposite the Mezquita - if I had longer arms I could have reached out and touched the walls. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was smallish, but more than adequate, clean, quite and very comfortable. Breakfast was a real surprise, with ample fresh fruit - I just could not eat any more! The location of the hotel is very convenient, both in terms of arriving in the town and for sighseeing. Parking costs additional, but is failrly close by and secure. Would recommend the hotel.

Stayed for 2 nights during a 10 day trip of Spain. Chose for the location, price, and desire to stay somewhere a little more "traditional" (rather than new/modern). Hotel was relatively easy to find, though the sign could be a bit bigger. It is directly across the street from the Mezquita and the old Roman Bridge -- perfect for exploring old Cordoba. Room was small for American standards but had enough space and furniture to be comfortable and address our needs. We had a double bed (other option is 2 twins put together) -- bed was very firm, but I hear that is pretty common in Europe. Bathroom was nice and clean. We requested a room with a small balcony and loved it. They only have a few that face the exterior and Mezquita, the others all face the interior courtyard and are not as bright. Although the street can be very loud, we found that the double paned glass blocked-out the street noise quite well. The walls between rooms, however, were not ideal -- heard lots of pipes clanging and water noise whenever the neigbors were using their bathrooms (showers and toliets). But I guess that comes with the territory of staying in an "older" hotel (rumor has it Christopher Columbus stayed there, so you can guess the age of the place). Chose the optional buffet breakfast which was a very simple and nice -- standard European fare with a few meats, cheeses, fresh fruits, breads, and coffee. Staff was very friendly and nice. Free WiFi -- ask for the code upon check-in. Overall would recommend.

The hotel is located in the heart of Cordoba, faceing the Mezquita, two blocks from the Alcazar de Los Reyes Catolicos with its beautiful gardens. From our room we could almost touch the walls sorrounding the Mezquita. This allowed us to visit this site quite early by walking around the corner from the hotel, avoiding the line before the groups of tourists show up. It's a perfect location to visit the city: everything is at a walking distance from the hotel and there's a very nice atmosphere. All the area is populated by little shops, restaurants, tapas bar but still not too crowded. The staff has been very helpful in giving us all the informations we needed to move around. Breakfast was good. We were happy about this choice and would come again.

We selected this hotel from Activehotels.com for a quick overnight to Cordoba. The location of this hotel is perfect!!! Located on the south side of La Mesquita /Catedral
( Mosque Cathedral) and around the corner from the Roman Bridge that allows you to cross the Guadalquivir River. The building itself is full of history dating back to before the Mosque was built. Possibly the oldest Inn in Spain.
Many important attractions are very close by. The reception we received was very welcoming and we were greeted each time that we came into the lobby. With our rate, we received a free breakfast, which was more than adequate to get our day started. We requested a room with a window, and I am glad that we did. Some of the rooms overlooking the inside courtyard seemed to be darker than ours and lacked natural light.
The hotel recommended the "Tablao Flamenco Cardenal" to us. What an incredible show!
And a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
