Hotel was across from the famous and beautiful mosque/cathedral so location was fabulous. Food at the hotel is delicious and if you have lunch before 3PM or 4PM the paella and other entrees on special were very inexpensive as well. The hotel manager staff was very accomodating and went out of his way to help us.

Please note that we actually stayed April 2009. Just getting around to it....

Los Patios was a pleasant hotel. Cordoba is known for patios thus the name. This establishment had a nice dining area in its patio leading to small hotel desk by bar. The three gentlemen that we encountered working the desk were great. We have rudimentary Spanish skills and they easily moved into English to help us navigate the public bus system and a request to have no housekeeping [strong scented air freshner knocked us out]

The Europeans love the twin bed thing. We pushed them together and made it through our two nights. But we slept soundly even though the beds were a little firm. Our room had a window overlooking an interior patio. Luckily it was quiet. Some guests did sit there and chat or read but for the most part, we didn't hear much. [we always have ear plugs in case]

In Spain you will probably adjust to later nights which is a good thing here as the restaurant closes at 11:30pm. We never went to bed until 12M when kitchen sounds were done echoing up the internal patio. It was not an inconvenience to us as we worked around it. We found we could take a nap in midday and were pleased at the level of quiet.

We loved that we walked out the front door, crossed the street and entered the Mezquita. Perfect location for us as we were on day 5 by now and the closer the better. Plus you had the Juderia right around you, the river to cross. Well positioned. The bus was only a 5-7 minute walk so we took it to the train station for 2.40 Euro and were there in about 15-20 minutes. Good luck and have fun!

Great location in the middle of the UNESCO area and oppostite the entrance to the mosque. The room was nice and roomy and clean. The bathroom was big but the shower little more than a dribble.
The door did not shut correctly and was not in line with the door frame requiring it to be lifted and slammed. Not very pleasant for those in rooms near us and if I had been on my own I do not think I would have been able to shut it at all. The staff we approached were not in the least bit interested when we reoprted it and we got the impression it was an on going problem.
We ate in the restaurant the first night as it was raining too much to venture out. It was underwhelming to say the least. I had lasagne which was anaemic in appearance and tasted no better than it looked. The dessert fared no better and was visibly taken out of a fridge, slapped from its container onto the plate and shoved in front of us. IT was possibly the worst creme caramel in the world ever. Most of the food to be honest appeared to be pre-packaged and the only fresh thing the bland salads we had to start.
I would stay again because of the location and price but certainly would avoid the restaurant at all cost.

Room Tip: do not go in room 10

This little hotel is tucked on one of the main streets and is within a hop skip and a jump from the Mesquita.
Staff were friendly and we had a very pleasant stay.
Breakfast was simple but delicious!
Room was spacious and quiet.
Bathroom facilities were more than adequate.

My partner and I stayed in Room 202 which was right in front of the front door of the Mezquita. We arrived late on our first night, but I called beforehand and they made sure to accomodate our late arrival (past 11.30pm). The hotel has someone at the reception all night but they do lock the front door and need to buzz after 11.30pm.

Our room was clean but we got two singles instead of a double bed but that didn't bother us. With a room facing the Mezquita it does get noisy but closing the balcony doors reduces the noise considerably and the room had air conditioning so the summer heat wasn't a problem.

All in all, a servicable hotel with a prime location.

We started our stay in room 8 which overlooked the indoor courtyard and, although clean, was a bit musty and with a lumpy bed. During the night there was a leak from the bathroom ceiling and so we were immediately offered room 201. This was a completely different room, situated at the front of the hotel and overlooking the entrance to the Mezquita. The room was airy and bright and had 2 windows with juliette balconies. The air conditioning was excellent and the jacuzzi shower was fantastic. The only down side is that it was a more noisy. We ate 1 meal in the hotel which was good value. The staff were friendly, especially the receptionist. We parked our car in the underground car park of the hotel nearby and it cost us 15 euro per night. The hotel has WiFi at 3 euro for 6 hours. We would recommend the hotel for rooms in the 200 range.
