“A must stay for any traveller”

This lovely hotel is a must for any holiday maker wanting a luxurious hotel in a quiet location, with marble floors and whitewashed walls. However, the hotel is a short walk from the city walls and jewish quarter which is the area for seeing the best of Cordoba so be preapared for a short walk, it will be worth it to stay in this oasis.

Hotel is wonderful, tranquil, beautifully furnished and the staff was excellent. From the welcome cold drink when we arrived to the abundant breakfast buffet the next morning the stay could not have been better. We may full use of the wonderful facilities; Roman baths, spa, reading room, pool, tapas bar etc and would have happily stayed another day. As a large family travelling together, the hotel provided 3 rooms next to each other without being prompted, it is this level of detail and attention to their guest’s comfort that we noted throughout our stay.

I stayed at this hotel while on a Queenslander tour. Our room opened up to a beautiful courtyard. The room, the bathroom, the service, and the breakfast were all wonderful. My only suggestions/criticisms would be new locks for the guest rooms, earlier start time for weekend breakfast, and enacting some type of policy about children using the pool without parent/adult supervision (two young boys, playing quite rambunctiously did not have any regard for others that tried to swim a lap or two in the pool). A real treat was while sitting in the courtyard, we watched two beautiful brides and their family have photos taken, and leave for their wedding ceremonies.....so very lovely!

This is a beautifully renovated hotel , a short walk to all the sites of Cordoba. We stayed in a junior suite which had a beautiful view, via french windows of small tastefully designed swimming pool ,however this was my only complaint, as in the searing heat of Corboba, the pool area was too small, and actually watched people sit on sunbeds at 8.30 in morning when pool area was in complete shade, so that they could have sunbed for later in day! There is room for hotel to create a bigger sunbed area, and I would suggest, it is something that they think about in future. My junior suite was quite large(I have stayed in boxes that call themselves junior suites in other hotels) , and had a beautifully appointed bath room, with french windows into courtyard, and had an amazing selection of Korres toiletries that were replenished twice a day.
We ate in restaurant one evening as they had a tasting menu, with musicians playing, the food was good, and the price was very reasonable 45 euro a head including all wine(pretty sure we got our moneys worth!!)
The hotel has a small spa , with an underground pool and hot tubs, very quirkey, but good fun!
Over all we had a wonderful stay, with extremely obliging staff

Room Tip: Well worth paying for junior suite... not expensive for hotel of this quality

We stayed a night in this restored palace. The hotel is beautifully decorated with a contrast of minimilast and rustic elements. There's typical Andalucian patio with a pool and smells of citric fruit trees and jasmin waft into the suite rooms. Breakfast was fantastic and included, of course, a selection of virgin olive oils from the region. We missed out on the Spa centre but too many other things to visit in the juderia of Cordoba. I invited my parents there on the same promotional deal the following month and they loved the hotel. If you can afford it, go.

The hotel is not really that close to the center. In the hot months it is quite a walk down to the Mezquita. We had a lunch near the pool which was extremely expensive in comparison to the quality. There was a special breakfast deal and we took it. Convenient to have breakfast in the hotel, but quality was not great (no sausages on a Sunday ??) and the patio in which it is served is extremely uncharming. The pool area is absolutely gorgeous and so was our room.

Room Tip: Junior suite: room number 19.

We stayed in a fairly small room (American Airlines points) but were charmed by the atmosphere and would return. The high ceiling compensated for the size of the room, making it feel much more spacious. The food was okay, but throughout the hotel, the staff seemed very stretched. The pool was lovely, the roman baths very interesting, and the roman ruins under the interior dining courtyard were stunning. It is worth going to the roman baths just to see the view of the ruins from that level. We stayed in room 123 which was on the side with a busy one way street so it was a bit noisy. Late at night and early in the morning there was considerable motorcycle traffic as well. The breakfast buffet is quite elegant and not bad if you pre-book at check-in for 18 euros.
