“Charming”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2013

Because the historic centre of Cordoba is quite small, it's easy to walk and see just about everything in one day. Buildings have been beautifully maintained and if you like to wander, it's fun to get "lost" in the winding, Moorish streets. The waterfront is also very pretty with its abundance of trees and glittering water.

There are two drawbacks to the centre: the first is the smell. The plumbing has not been modernized, and it smells. Don't breathe in too deeply.

The second is the begging. Don't fall for it, fellow travellers: there are the beggars working the crowds, but if you turn a corner and go up a couple streets, you will see their cohorts sitting around talking on mobile phones. Enough money for cell service and not enough to eat? I think not.

“Unexpectedly Good”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 9, 2013

Having visited several of Spain's "Great Cities" Cordoba is my favourite to date. Lovely little streets, all very walk-able.History at every turn. Beautiful patios to visit. You soon get the hang of the city layout. Just amazing. Can't wait to go back

“Visit Cordoba - a lovely old town - great for a day trip - but deserves a longer visit!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2013

Explore the narrow, winding streets and courtyards, visit the 101 Tapas Bar and savour their delights - try the sliced battered aubergines in thick dark honey - a true delicasy! Great for a romantic day out! Wonderful architecture - very picturesque!

“A lovely city to walk around”

It's lovely to just walk around the city, soaking up the atmosphere, stopping for a drink and tapas every so often.

“The grand Mosque”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2013

The centre of old cordoba is wonderful , get lost in the old streets , hundred of tiny shops ,a real moorish treatand eat and drink wonderful food , then discover the grand mosque !
The most wonderful enclosed architectural space I have ever been in ! Magnifico , estupendo !
If you go early there is parking right next door in the multi storey , its cheap , about 5 euros for the day but you do need to get there before 9 o'clock to guarantee a place . Also if you go on Sunday be aware that entrance is restricted around church masses , you wont get into the mosque/ cathedral during religious services.
