I took a side trip from Seville to Cordoba and stayed at Hotel Boston for five nights. For 45€/night it was perfectly fine. The best aspect of Hotel Boston is its location in the very center of Cordoba. It sits on a big plaza that is surrounded by restaurants and cafés. It was an easy 20 minute walk for me from the nicer-than-most bus station. The staff here speak somewhat limited English perhaps, but they were all very nice and helpful. You must walk up one flight of stairs to reach the reception, but then there is a lift to the upper floors. I had a quiet room on the 5th floor on the side of the building. There was a big window with actually great views!
The bathroom was very small but very clean, as was the room. There was no AC in the room. Ask about this if you go in summer, because it can get hot in Cordoba! The decor is a bit dated, but this hardly matters while on vacation. There is a nice cafe area on the reception floor where you can pay for coffee or lite food for breakfast--very reasonable. I would definitely stay here again, if I ever returned to Cordoba. Cordoba was interesting for a few days, but it is small and compact compared to Seville, and the food in the city is nowhere near as good as other Spanish cities. Except the local speciality, Salmorejo. Wow. Fabulous, creamy, tomato based soup served with bits of hard cooked egg and ham. If nothing else, try this!

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room.

The Hotel Boston is right in the heart of Cordoba and gives perfect walking access to all the tourist spots in Cordoba. It is also surrounded by bars and restaurants as well as the main shopping area of the city. In the evening there is a real festive atmosphere in the Plaza de las Tendillas that goes on well past midnight. We drove to Cordoba but try to avoid it if you can as parking and negotiating the narrow streets of this area is not easy. Hotel Boston is clean and all staff were friendly and good value.

We had 2 rooms for 2 nights in mid October. The hotel entrance is just a few steps around the corner from the Plaza de las Tendillas. The main TI is in the Plaza, a taxi stand is kitty-corner to the hotel (across the Plaza), the Cathedral/Mezquita and some Roman ruins are a short (as long as one doesnot get lost exploring) walk from the Plaza and a small cafe (quite adequate for breakfast) is on the Plaza right around the corner from the hotel entrance. Our rooms were quiet (even though they were overlooking the Plaza), clean, comfortable and a bit small. Having to use the stairs to get to the first floor can be a bit of a problem if one has luggage and does not get reception to open the elevator.

Nice hotel in the middel of Cordoba. In walking distance and easy to find from the trainstation.
Entering the hotel is with stairs, when you want to use te elevator to the reception you have to walk up first to ask. Reception very helpfull. A safe for 0.50 per day. I have stayed in a single room. Nice and comfortable room and with a beautifull view over town and on the Mezquita. Only the bathroom is really to small. In the shower you can't turn, the showercurtain sticks on you the whole time.
But a very good value for the money and in the middle of the center of Cordoba.

In the heart of Cordoba, this is a very nice small hotel, It is impeccable and they clean the rooms daily, The size of the rooms is adequate. There is a little bit of noise from the street. They offer breakfast on the 1st floor, so you don't have to go out searching for food. The staff is friendly and helpful. And the price is right.
