Simple and pleasant rooms overlooking quiet and private courtyards. A gentle breeze seems ever present, when the windows and wooden shutters are left open. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the location is excellent. If you haven't studied the map, it may take a little effort to find, but that's the nature of staying in the old Jewish quarter of Cordoba.

We stayed two nights at the Albucasis. If this is your first trip to Cordoba, we suggest that you take a taxi from the train station to the hotel. The taxi is not very expensive and the hotel would be very difficult to find on your own. The location is excellent for visiting the Mesquita, the Synagoga, the Albayzin, many artisan shops, and some of the town outside the Albayzin. The room was on the large side for hotels in the old part of town and simply furnished. The staff varied from very helpful to complacent. Breakfast was minimal and we did not feel it was worth the price.

Although we had made a reservation over the tel. this wasn't found on arrival. Luckily although high tourist season the establ. had very few guests(?), so accomodated us. At the end of our stay we paid our bill. All seemed to be in order. When we got home we found out why our reservation had not been found, a month or so later, when our credit card was billed again for the trip because we had not shown up!! There was no apology ever and to setttle the matter took a long period of time and several e-mails in spanish and even tel. calls in spanish etc By a native spaniard friend before a refund at different exchange rate left us out of pocket still despite myself asking for this not to be the case. As a previous guest said the rooms were very basic-of a university dorm. level. It was quite an uptight feeling when handing the key in all the time etc!!Our stay was in spring 2010. not november , as stated.

Our satnav got us into a right mess trying to find this hotel, which is in the middle of a traffic restricted and one way system area where the streets are very narrow only fit one car. My advice is to print out a map before you arrive as a backup, because the satnav was unable to get us there - we were just being sent round in circles. Also if you are arriving in Easter Week as we did, take extra care - the processions go past the hotel and the whole area gets clogged with people. We got stuck in our car inside a crowd and had to have a police escort out of the Jewish Quarter with us driving in reverse!

Cars aside, the location is superb, a minute's walk from the Mezquita. The guy at reception was very nice and helpful. Breakfast wasn't worth the money - go somewhere else. The walls were very thin - when the family next door got back we could hear everything - talking, water running etc. Depending on who is staying next to you that could spoil your sleep. The hotel has a pretty little courtyard and there is free wifi.

This is a no-frills hotel but its location and helpful staff made it a very good place to stay. It's within easy walking distance of the main sights of Cordoba, including the Mezquita, the Alcazar, the Jewish quarter, and many restaurants and shops. All rooms look out on the patio so it's very quiet. Our bathroom was large and very well appointed. We really appreciated the friendly staff.

I traveled with 2 other friends and we stayed in a very decent triple room for about 80 Euros a night. We found the staff to be very accomodating and helpful. The staff spoke excellent English and made very good suggestions on places to eat and visit. The room was cozy yet always super clean. The bathroom was very spacious. The hotel is centrally located in the Juderia (the Jewish Historical Quarter). The Juderia contains many fabulous restuarants and wonderful shopping for gifts. The Mezquita is very nearby as well. All of the historical sites can be reached on foot from this hotel.

This small hotel in the old city is in a great location and staff are helpful and friendly. If you are driving a car to the hotel beware! quite difficult to navigate the narrow, oneway streets! We hired a taxi and followed it in!
