It is a typical 3 star hotel with staff that doesn't stop talking with each other seeing a guest waiting. Bathrooms smell like in a three star hotel built in the 80s. However, when you think about staying just opposite of Mosquita (don't expect your room to overlook it though, it overlooks the yard), it compensates all drawbacks. Ok, Maybe until it comes to paying :)

We were 2 couples arriving late afternoon, found the Parking underneath the Hotel, not very spacy - and another incomming car would not accept that we had to reverse for 30 centimeters in order to get in our car. Becourse he simply had to, he broke our antenna later same day (who else?) - video would have been nice...At this time of the year it can be awfully hot in Cordoba so after checking inn, we met in the lobby and found a nice place to eat - and then we went back to viait the hotel cafe/bar. The place was total empty, and the waiter tried to find all kind of excuses not to adress us / welcome us and ask us what he could do for us. So after 15 minnutes we had to go to his place (behind the bar) and order 4 cups of coffee, and 4 brandys - secondly - due to the heat and no aircondition in the bar, we kindly asked him if he could open the automatic door to the outside - he told us it was not possible. However one in our group knew how to press a button, but after 5 seconds (he actually left his bar for 10 seconds wow) he closed the automatic door again!! (The day after when he was not on duty - it was open all evening!!!) suddenly a shout told us that our coffee was ready and that we could pick it up at his place (the bar...still no one else but us in the bar) we picked it up, and after enjoying it for 2 minnutes another shout told us to stand up again and pay our coffee and brandy in the bar. This man was not frindly, service minded or polite - we were all sure that he was not from our part of Europe! This brings me not to forget, to let you know that everything else was first class - but it was sad to expirience that one person of the staff could spoil 4 peoples stay - our best advise work smarter, not harder.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view to the street, if you want a quit room ask for a room located to the gard...

I used my credit card points to book this hotel. The card used about $200 worth of my points and I assumed it would be at least a 3-4 star hotel. Although the lobby is nice and the staff was very friendly (and of course the location), the room itself was absolutely disgusting. I feel like I'm in a government hospital of a third world country. The pictures are deceiving. Please do NOT waste your money on this hotel. No carpet either. AC barely works. I'm glad I'm we're only here for one night.

And also general advice for this area, do not drive here. It's almost impossible getting through these streets.

Could not be any closer to the main attraction: the Mosque. Rooms clean and parking is offered for a price. Walking distance to all other attractions in Cordoba. Lots of restaurants nearby. It also offers a restaurant and coffee room. Rooms clean and quiet. Staff very helpful.

Room Tip: The Mosque lets you in free before 9:30 AM.

As others have mentioned, the location of this hotel cannot be beat---literally a stone's throw away from the Mezquita and just a few minutes stroll to other locations (the roman bridge, the alcazar, restaurants, Cajella de las flores, etc.). We selected this hotel on a whim after making a last minute detour to Cordoba, and we could not have been more pleased with our choice to stay here (especially for the price!). The lobby is beautiful and the room was very nice---great bathroom, plenty of space, clean, but the typical old-school Spanish beds. The staff was very friendly, and I really appreciated that the hotel doors are open at all times (and a desk clerk is on duty all night), so going out to take pictures at all hours of the day was very easy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We travelled to Cordoba as a group and stayed one night at the Maimonides. As we came on a coach a van was sent down to the coach for our luggage, which saved us from having to drag our suitcases up the hill.
The rooms were comfortable, although the bed was extremely firm. The restaurant is a la carte, but we were served a dinner, which was well cooked and delicious, however, the portions were very generous. Breakfast was mainly a cold buffet.
The hotel is very conveniently situated in the centre of the old town, which is the main tourist attraction.
Overall a good hotel for a short stay.

We stayed overnight at this hotel while on a 2-week trip through Spain. We selected this hotel based on its proximity to the Mezquita. It is directly across the street (and just around the corner from the main entrance gate.) Hotel staff was generally friendly, but largely uninformed in giving guidance about area attractions. The room itself was small, but adequate. For us, the biggest downside to this hotel was the noise. The halls and rooms are covered with marble flooring and the walls and doors are very thin. As a result, you hear everything going on in the hallways, in the rooms to the side and above....all night long. The room was clean, but otherwise, its best redeeming feature is its location.
