“Excellent location”
Reviewed March 6, 2014

We stayed for one night. The hotel is right in the middle of the old city by the cathedral.
The rooms a very comfortable, the beds which we love.

Parking is right there though a bit tight as we are not used to squeeze in narrow spots. However it is handy as you don't need it once arrived and parking on the street is quite a challenge.

Hello, we spent few days to this hotel, here are the good and negative points :

Positive :
*super well located, in front of the Mezquita
*staff is very helpful and friendly
*car park in the hotel but you need to book it in advance
*breakfast is good
*free wifi
*very clean

Negative :
*it can be noisy if your room gives on the main street

Room Tip: be careful because some rooms can be noisy because they give on the main street with many people

The hotel is opposite the old mosque which was the main site we wanted to visit so could not have been better. The rooms were clean and perfectly adequate. The bathroom was good with a hot shower although personally I would prefer a shower that wasn't over the bath and had a screen rather than a curtain. However this is really just a minor personal detail. The breakfast was good with a variety of hot and cold dishes, cereals, fruit, pastries etc. we ate in the restaurant on our first night and although it wasn't awful it wasn't great. One of our party had salmon with a sauce that made it unpleasant to eat. However we all liked our starters and dessert of ice cream was perfectly acceptable. The staff were friendly and attentive and we enjoyed teas, coffees and drinks in the coffee shop which is part of the hotel. They also do a pretty good apple tart!! All in all we enjoyed our stay here and felt this hotel in such an ideal situation gave us a chance to really experience the fascinating history of Cordoba.

This hotel could not be better located - just a few yards from the main entrance to the famous Mezquite - but as such it is likely to get very busy and possibly noisy in the summer months. However, in January and just after the main Spanish holiday, it was the ideal location for our 1-night stay in Cordoba. Reception was polite and some English was spoken and the bedrooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean and tidy, if a little 'tired' looking. The buffet breakfast was more than adequate and reasonably priced at €7.50. We did not dine in the restaurant so cannot comment in that respect. Parking is available under the hotel, but access could be very difficult in what is a heavily restricted and pedestrianised historic centre. Overall, very good value and perfect for our needs on this occasion.

Room Tip: Ask for the back of the hotel away from the busy main square around the Mezquite.

The mezquita is just across the road as you leave the hotel. What could possibly be better. We had an inside room (no view, no noise). The room was adequately large, clean and so was the full bathroom. Bed was comfortable.
Staff were friendly and the young restaurant waitress made up for her lack of experience with her nice smile.
Dinner in the hotel was adequate. Buffet breakfast quite good - something for everyone.
WARNING. Ignore the detailed instructions about how to find the hotel at your peril. Don't use your satnav or you'll end up in a maze of narrow streets and go round in circles.

Definitely the area of the hotel is the best , so close of the Mezquita.
The noise from outside , I can understand , this is the way in South Spain, but hear the people cuffing from the next room , hear all the night the mechanism of the automatic double door of the entrance it absolutely abnormal .
The welcome at the reception was absolutely perfect and professional.
We wanted to take diner at the restaurant ( 3 kids, 3 adults) but we weren't sure to share the kid for eat , when a grumpy lady explained here this not the way to eat because of kids but to the cafeteria ( the restaurant was empty!) because of this cold welcome we decided to eat and enjoy a nicest place to eat
If we are coming back to Cordoba we won't go back their

It would be hard to beat the location and just look out your window for people watching . Very clean hotel. The hotel web site should update pics of the rooms, most are very small, like French hotels. That is ok, just don't show Jr suites as normal rooms.
